Upgraded last night to v.337 - have not noticed any mentionable difference yet. Will assess battery life today.

On the upgrade - only hiccup was losing my BB Messenger history. Still trying to figure out why.

Battery life is definately better. Otherwise everything is still the same. No problems at all. Definately faster but I think it's because I have about 30MB more free memory after upgrading to .337.
 
I hate this phone!

Biggest piece of ****.

I cannot get my mails, my BIS always disconnects and the slide has play and feels like it will break any second.

Hangs continuously

Wireless is great, pity it wont switch to Mobile network when I leave the wireless..... 3 reboots later and maybe it will work

Let me try Fac def again! maybe the 6th time it will be better

I should have gone with the IPHONE

Must be a dud. My Torch has not put a single foot wrong yet - and I am wondering how I ever managed without it. I run wireless at home and it switches seamlessly. The only time I have restarted or rebooted was last night when I upgraded the software.

Best phone I have ever had, by a long margin.

Battery does seem better, but don't see any other mentionable difference. I did not see the big memory difference after installation.

I see .337 for Torch has been officially launched with a few networks.
 
sigh. My slide out piece has now got tons of play. With it closed, i can push anywhere on it and feel it "move"
and since its now past the OBF time period, i am going to have to wait. Really annoyed with the build quality of this phone.


anyways, is there anywhere else to get decent blackberry apps..cause the app store seriously sucks

Socialscope has been in beta testing from December 2008 (damn that's a long time to be testing an app for BlackBerry) and the only way to get the app is by invite which is very scarce.
 
Hi. Such mixed feelings over this phone. Rave reviews speak of fantastic, top class build quality. I stopped someone with a Torch in the shops yesterday who also couldn't stop singing it's praises. So how is it then that there are so many complaints here? Is it a matter of satisfied clients not speaking up/speaking up less. But dissatisfied clients shouting from the rooftops? No offence, just asking as an observer/prospective buyer.

Different strokes for different folks, like every other thing you own, one has to really play with a handset to enjoy it. There's always going to be people who rant and rave about the device. You'll never be 100% satisfied with all the stuff you own.

Well I requested an invite on their site less than a month ago and got one yesterday. Apparently Im very lucky. The app is amazing. Espicially on the Torch.

Damn! Are you lucky or what? I've been waiting almost 4 months with no invite :(
 
I waited about 5 months before I got my invite. Since then I haven't let go of SocialScope. It just works and is way better than SocialFeeds.

The developers said that current users would soon be able to send out invites. I'm waiting for that to happen :)
