BB 9900 & Vodacom. When?

@RichardG that's prob the dumbest reason every dude I mean seriously now ?? So what if its the same as OS6 the reason they will go for it is because of the devices spec's, that's stupid to think its because of 0s7, and yeah it looks similar but have you messed around with it ?? I doubt it so rather hush before you jump...its a blackberry with prowerful specs hence why it will be a flagship...just like the old bold 9000 was, the new bold will be too,

From all the OS6 updates none of them seem perfect. OS7 might be the same. QNX is used in the BMW iDrive system, its not the best on the market. #justsaying

I got a tweet from Vodacom saying that they can't give me a price yet but that its going be a very short wait! :D

Yip, Nashua mobile have told me to look out for their September specials...lets hope

Sounds like good news, phone is shaping up to be very exciting, don't care if there are androids 10 folds more powerful but I want this phone amazing device and SA's BBM plan makes it just that more amazing

The BB 9900 will be available @ month end or 1s week September.
Its on Vodacom Stock update today.Retail for around R7700(VAT iNcluded)

Crazy price! No way. SGS2 is cheaper. This will translate into an expensive contract ... crazy considering the 24 month tie-in when QNX is on the way. Not the right approach when people are walking away to iOS and Android.

i apologise if this is a stupid question, but what will QNX bring to bb phones?is it a software or hardware upgrade?

BB 9900 and iPhone 4S / 5 - the 2 phones id love to have :)

I suspect the QNX phone to be released first (Colt) will be a 9900 running QNX. If the current 9900 hardware can handle QNX then a migration should theoretically be possible, but we know these buggers are in it for the money so they want you to buy a new QNX phone also. They will only allow migration if they get the message that the market won't buy the 9900 without a migration path to QNX being guaranteed.

TBH Vodacom price is ALWAYS more than buying a BB from incredible corruption or Game...

Like when the Torch released last year in October it was 7600 at Vodacom and a week later IC had it at R6500, is Vodacom that desperate to make that much more money on their phones?
