BB 9900 & Vodacom. When?

A friend already ordered the 9900 and a 16GB playbook on a T1000 and it is free.

I just worked out a manual deal on the system quickly.

Blackberry 9900 + Playbook 16Gig @ R4,579.00 cash pay in on Talk 1000.

I checked for financed deals or any preloaded deals for these devices and could not find any. Is your friend getting it from Vodacom Direct? My only guess is that they worked out a financed option for him.

So what is the cash price for the BB9900, Playbook 16Gig and 32Gig?

Found this on cacell.co.za for the Playbook

16Gb R4,499.99
32Gb R5,499.99
64gb R6,499.99

And from amazon.com

16Gb $435 R3132
32Gb $540 R3888
64gb $680 R4896

Im thinking of going over to vodacom to get the 9900 but have no idea when its coming out or what the pricing will be like any help?

I am not going to lie....it is going to be expensive as a cash purchase guys. Very expensive. Unless the pricing gets amended when the stock actually arrives.

Then people will rather buy the iPAD

I mean on a contract how much would the phone cost per month and how much free min would one get?

I'll just wait till incredible corruption brings it out! will be much cheaper there...

All current indications are Sept international launch, but then we might have to wait longer still for SA release. Why I'm now looking at other options as it feels as if RIM is losing the plot here. I've also read that OS7(.5) will be the last of its kind and will be replaced on later handsets by QNX ... resulting in another Symbian mess. No way I'm signing a 24 month contract to see the OS dumped early-on during this period.

What if they offer QNX as an OS upgrade option... its not impossible.

That is difficult to say as I dont know how much financial backing Vodacom might throw in on certain packages. It really is hard to speculate on this. As soon as I get the dealsheets I will update my sticky thread...scout's honour. :-)
