I'm torn between a 9900 or an iPhone 4.

Have a BB 8900, but my contract expires in November. Do I get another 'Berry or move to an iPhone? :/ I suppose it depends on the packages Vodacom will offer.

I just hope the 9900 isn't as painfully sluggish as the 8900. Apparently RIM has reduced the capacity of the battery on the 9900 to save on size, so I wonder if I'll be charging every single day instead of every second day as I'm currently doing.

The 9900 has a much bigger processor (1.2 GHz QC 8655 processor) then compared to your 8900 which is only (512 MHz processor) so yes there will definitely be no lag! and although the battery is smaller if you turn your 3G off then your batt will easily last 2 or so days also it depends how much you use it!

Just got back from vodashop, expecting release = 6 september. No word on any packages though

6th September is same date I was told by the Sales department that their new pricelists are out when i called on Friday. That's the first time I've heard the same date twice so maybe it's correct!

I pray that it is correct :D:love:

So,

There is device software available for the 9900 from MTN, Vodacom, Cell C and 8.ta. This means the device has been sold to and been configured for all the networks. Some also have some of the other new phones as well (9810).

I just wonder why it has to be done in such cycles, with the price list updates and so on, if they released the phone today it would probably sell out

Vodacom have just announced on Twitter.....

The Blackberry Bold 9900 will be available from participating outlets from 7 September 2011 available on BB Talk 100 for R449 p/m x 24

That I can live with:)! So happy its not a pay in upfront!! Was starting to panic, was ready to sell my torch

UOTE=Gamer;6755652]you're paying in an extra R2400.00 over the term of the contract for this package as the BB 100 package is R349.00 usually.[/QUOTE]

I wonder if MTN will release the phone soon or if a number port is in order
