BCX reckon the course is exactly the same as the one they offer in class, sans live instructor, and as long as responses to questions asked is quick then I think I will go for it.
Below is an excerpt from the email BCX sent me.
Collaborative Learning Solution packages to the student include the following:
• Real-time course registration which take place entirely online;
• Microsoft Official Curriculum (“MOC”) Courseware & Exercise Files - Access to study resources which include a Study Kit, Presentations, Video Resources and access to White Papers.
• Student Portal which acts as the Management Tool of each students training process;
o Training Plan – Calculated according to the amount of hours per day and days of the week a student can study, the student accordingly has a structured training plan to follow but also gives them a lot more flexibility relating to time spent on each activity.
o Mentor Support – Access to mentors through real-time live chat, forums, email, and a telephonic call centre.
o Live Application Labs - These are used as simulated computer environments to provide a non-production environment to learn and practice on.
o Exam Simulation Tests – Assists the student in preparing for International Exams. Also used to identify skills gaps and to measure the outcome of the training. These are built in at the end of each course to confirm that learning has taken place and that the user has acquired the necessary knowledge. Exam testing is a powerful assessment tool that generates exam style test questions (randomly or fixed) for candidates. Test reviews are available once tests are completed. The system will automatically retain test results and associated data for compliance reporting.
• 12 months access to all resources and support registered for, irrespective of when the course is completed.
