BDS vs Woolworths

I've had that with ordinary items, priced at regular prices.

I can understand if a special is sold out.

So go to PnP or Checkers then? They have mouldy fruit and veg for half the price.

The only time I have seen Woolies shelves really empty was I think it was the day before xmas. My gosh ... the shelves were so empty you could hear the echo's of peoples foot steps trolling for the last instant lasagne or the last "microwave for 5 minute" delicious veggie with cheese sauce pack.

make noise at head office.
when the tell you they will gladly replace, tell them to deliver as you are not prepared to waste petrol driving back and forth due to rotten products.
did your heels in.
paying premium price entitles premium service

Who has time to make noise at head office?

Besides to heck with them. If I get treated badly, so do others. I'm not going to fix WW customer service for them.

However it does seem to be more store dependent, with some stores always having stock while others run out.

Also funny that some stock items are not the same across stores. Some imported Italian items seem to be found at smaller shops, but big ones, like Canal Walk, don't have them.

Actually Checkers sells some nice things. For example real caviar and not that Cavart silliness. I haven't found mold on Checkers or PnP stuff. And yes Checkers sells old stuff at discount but I've never seen any mold on that. Checkers also used to sell Starbucks Coffee and they sometimes import foreign chocolates, such as those from Lotte-Wedel.

Who said their shelves were empty? They are often out of stock of products. They sell out. And sometimes don't stock, so you're not guaranteed to get the same item from a different WW, even of similar size.

Oh well .... as long as they have that delicious pork steaks in lemon butter sauce thingy I dont care. If they run out of that then I will protest. :D

one Woolies store does not a Woolies entire group make

Yes it does. Because the bigger stores are run by Woolworths. They are not franchises. And even if franchises, it's still WW problem because they are allowing that sort of BS under their brand. And yeah there usually is a pattern in terms of years so different managers.

The mold was not at Bayside and the person who would not accept two WW Black coffee vouchers as two transactions for two cups of coffee even though the store manager instructed him to do so was at Canal Walk.

It's really poor stock keeping and attempts to save money by keeping stock levels low. When it's popular products however it's really ridiculous.

Oh my word, we agree on something.

I've given up complaing about the lack of stock at the local WW, it's just a pointless frustrating experience.

Basics like mac & cheese , eggs - zero. On occasion at least a third of the food section is completely empty.

Ths is a regular sight -

That is what it looked like @ xmas day or the day before. If that is a daily occurence on non sale items then I suggest you bring it up with HO? That is not good. If they dont do something, then dont support them I guess. Perhaps there is another branch close by that is run properly? I am lucky enough to have two branches basically the same distance from home, but opposite directions.

Oh yes. You buy it one day, next day out of stock. Then when you don't want it, they have it again.

Maybe WW should have a lesser variety and just focus on stock?

But the biggest issue I have is seeing pictures of Williams all over WW. Today's slogan is something about "caring". Well, that's nice. We do care about not widening the trade deficit--not and we care about local talent--not. :)

Of course for people of Muslim heritage, WW has got them irked for some or other reason.

I seem but I don't. That's your problem OMB. If a large store is run over a period of time badly, whose fault is it? Whose fault is it that they don't check on their stores?
Protip: The WW Group Head Office.
If someone is 'rogue' for lack of a better word, over an extended period of time, whose fault is it? You'd be correct if it was one incident or very occasional incidents which could have happened anywhere. The stock thing is pervasive. Even daveza confirmed it and we don't shop at the same stores.

I assume you're ignorant of the fact that a fair portion of Woolies senior management is Muslim

That's a totally irrelevant factoid.

SAP during apartheid had quite a few black cops too, OMB. Maybe I should take logic lessons from you. ;)

I am sure I could take a pic like this every day of the week at the Durbanville branch.

"Do you have any large mac and cheese ?"

"No but we do have 100 large lasagnes on special"

" I want mac and cheese, why don't you have any ?"

"Sold out "

"But this is the third time this month you've been sold out"

"They are very popular"

"Well if they are so popular WTF DON'T YOU ORDER MORE !!"

May as well talk to a vienna sausage.

sorry, I wouldn't want to fry your brain, best you stay on your side of the intelligence fence

here's the thing - you fix it for you, not for them.
allowing complacency to continue is a major factor in the levels of service south africans have come to accept.

So how do you get hold of someone who actually gives a ...

SA is the only place I know where the customer services manager's contact details are not allowed to be given to customers.
