Hi everyone, about a month ago, I decided it's time I moved over to a contract. I've been rolling with prepaid for years (well, 6), and recently, life has been getting a bit crazy, and running out of airtime is something that has become a serious issue rather than a minor inconvenience.

So I went over to Vodacom Cresta, and boom, HTC Desire for only R135 per month! Bargain! So the contract was getting set up, everything is going well, then suddenly, just before signing the papers to finalize everything, boom, I notice the little bastard tried to give me an HTC wildfire, which at the time I didn't know if it was better or worse than the Desire, but it's not the phone I wanted, so I caused a stir, and he said that they don't have stock, but they'll call me when it's available... 2 weeks later, not a peep from Vodacon.

Now I'm getting angry, but, I had to go on holiday with my girlfriend, so my friend went off the the Vodacom fourways, and everything was basically set up, they said they didn't have stock, but more will be coming on Thursday/Friday (28/29 of April)... cool, so I wait another two weeks to bring me to this fine point that I'm in now, without anyone calling, saying "Jesus, I'm sorry, a metorite hit the HTC stockpile" or anything... I'm just waiting for a phone.

I'm literally throwing money at Vodacom and they don't seem to care . I'm feeling a pulsating hatred towards the bastards now. I've been more than accommodating for a whole month. But now I'm fed up with the service (or lack there of). How can Vodacon be advertising a phone that they don't have??? Is it a ploy to get me in the store, go "oh, ****, you don't have it, ok, I'll have this contract then"??

Overall, I'm getting to a point where I just want to say f-you Vodacom, take your contract and stick it up your arse, I'm never using you, ever.

I'm on prepaid I use gotprepaid to send me airtime using a please call me

The HTC Desire was on B/order. I was also waiting for one for one of my corp clients. Received it this week. Perhaps they forgot to put it on order for you?

I must admit i find going the vodacom direct route( ordering on the internet etc) is far more convenient than going to a vodashop since they always have stories about something or other....

Don't knock the whole service, knock the Vodashop that's not delivering.

Always had good service from the Vodashops at the V&A Waterfront & Tyger Valley.
