Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics

Eileen Gu defends China’s internet freedom. Her message is censored.

The contentious comment: “anyone can download a vpn its literally free on the App Store.”

Ironically, the screenshot of Gu defending China's internet freedom was censored on Weibo on Tuesday after being shared 3,000 times. The original Weibo post still exists, but the screenshot of her VPN comment has turned blank, causing mockery to go even further. “What is there to brag about a country where [that screenshot] can’t see the light of day?” another Weibo user asked.
:X3:

Heavy blizzard there currently (with real snow lol) so some events like giant slalom have been postponed.

Now waiting for the cross country relay to start..

Love the chasing drone cameras at the slalom. Very cool

Some more gems from the commentators--- I have found the commentary to be particularly weak.

"And it's a race to the finish."

Only bettered by -

"She has achieved the impossible. "

Heh the British 2 man bobsleigh pair crossed the finish line on their heads..

Ski cross now on. It's just as cool as snowboard cross. Racing events are the best imo.

I must say I was rooting for Daniela Maier in the final. Not the way she wanted to medal I guess, but I'm glad she did after how hard she worked to get to the final.

Personally I think the Canadian should have been penalised as well in that race but what do I know about the sport...

DSTV's coverage of the games has been really poor, feels like they bought the cheapest package.

Repeats, repeats, repeats.

The catch-up highlights have overlaps and more repeats, too much talking, too little action.

As for their DSTV Now schedule, let's not even go there.

They've shown most (if not all) events live though so I don't think the coverage was poor.

I'm on Premium, almost everything I've seen were live. The only repeats I've watched were of events that were on live at 3-5am.

Same. But I'm on premium showmax.
