I donno trust is a basis for any friendship/relationship...

If i can't trust you you won't get much out of me...

My trust is built up quite quickly but break my trust and it will take you quite a while to build it up, not that it will ever be the same... Cause i will still suspect you...

When involved in business dealings, depending on the relationship, we have once or twice sued someone to recover money.

As far as family/friends, my motto is that if they ask for a LOAN and we decide to help, we call it a DONATION in our own minds, because we know we're not gonna get it back and we need to make peace with the fact that we will never see that money again.

Well varied responses but in general it seems that we are really don't trust the people around us much...if al all...

I like the comment about not trusting yourself :p I agree with that completely, especially when drunk...

Now I know this isn't necessarily a bad thing, having that general feeling of trusting everyone and the world around you. I have found though that over the years I've become much more [-]s[/-]cynical and just don't accept what people say or do at face value. I feel bas about this though, I don't see why there should be a reason to doubt other people.

Would you call it cynical or wise?

The older you get the more you have at stake, the greater trust you are going to need to impart on day to day meetings with other individuals.
