I've seen them and am impressed with the display units that I've seen.

For Esq and for those have you that have purchased them already.
How long and what is the guarantee on them?
If there are any issues, is the product meant to go back to Esquire or do we have to go though another channel directly to BenQ.

i also got the ad and the prices seem very very good but i'm not sure about the quality...

As far a quality is concern, once you buy a BenQ LCD TV you won’t buy nothing else, as these are manufactured only with A grade panels and the picture quality is superb

with over 2000 LCD TV sold we only had three back for warranty , one was DOA, one had a distortion of the screen and one was physically damaged by a client after he tried to wall mount it and press on the screen to hard

all BenQ LCD TV have to go back to a BenQ authorize service agents called LMR for the time being until we start up our own repairs centre as we have four qualified electronic technicians from China and Taiwan that work full time at our head office so have asked BenQ to give us the opportunity to do the repairs and offer our clients a better warranty time , as it only takes about an hour to repair these units but it take days at the repair centre’s ,because of contractual agreements we have to wait until next year.

But as always if there is any issues with any BenQ products we are there to sort them out and push those guys for faster lead times

Thanks for the detailed response Esquire.

I can certainly vouch for the display quality and would've gotten myself one a month ago, but CPT missed out on the 32" at R2799.00 ex VAT.

Really a great vibrant display, now if only I could get a few sold! :D

Yeah, it is now - when I don't have spare cash for it - already got myself a 24" BenQ monitor when the TV wasn't available in CPT.

What feed was hooked up to the display unit(s)?

Now compare to plasma. ;)

DVD iirc - not too sure.
What's your take on them PmP?

*Homer voice* Toh!

What was mentioned is the length of time the warranty/gurantee is.
Anyone?

An Esquire salesman told me the PC LCDs used to be 3yr, now 1yr. Not sure if this would apply to the LCD TVs.

If you're looking for a decent TV, especially for sport and SD/HV TV, look no further than the Samsung 42" plasma, either 42C430 or 42C450 at R6500 - R7000.
