Finally watched Guardians of the Galaxy. Good fun, but still not the WOW movie of the year I've been waiting for.

That's what happens when you watch it on the small screen. Was an awesome movie.

I watched it at home on a 32" tv. I enjoyed it. If he didn't like it, he didn't.

Picture and sound were awesome.

Really enjoyed it. Was great, but still it feels like its been done before.

"Unlikely group of hero's work together" ... done.
Villain could have been out of any space movie.
Special effects are so advanced these days that even the most complex scenes fell "normal".
The whole 80's nostalgia thing has been used many times as a "feel good effect".

Looking from a fresh movie still with something that hasn't been done before. Something mind blowing.

Maybe there is nothing left to do :erm:

Essentially yeah everything has been done before and nothing will blow your mind. And if you're looking for art, or something truly groundbreaking, GotG isn't it.

What you want won't be found in Hollywood.

You'll need to start looking at indie movies and foreign movies.
