Hey everyone, with the disappointing outcome of my exchange becoming congested I've decided to go towards an alternative and would like some suggestions.

I'm looking for best alternative based on

Speed
Upload
Ping (latency)

and of course stability. I hear about LTE being good, I don't mind waiting for 8ta LTE. When is it out?

Must be suited for online gaming, P2P as I game on XBL and PSN.

Get SIM's from all the SP's, test who gets the best speeds in your area, as coverage is not equal all over, we cannot recommend one SP over another, I am lucky and get decent coverage from all the SP's, but for raw speed, Vodacom wins, but I game on 8ta and Cell-C without problems - been awhile since I had a MTN SIM to test with ... , but when I did, I got decent speeds as well ...

Coverage and connectivity is what counts, not the SP. (Service Provider)

Check out the iBurst coverage map as well:

Currently, they cheaper than the 8ta and Cell-C deals. They are not the fastest, but have good latency and stability (I would say better than 3G).

Hi

Sorry to hear your exchange is congested.

Overall 3G for gaming is umm not soo cool, generally (Most of the time) with gaming you need low latency.... and generally with a 3G connection getting low latency is umm well very hard to get...
Speed and latency go hand in hand but there are various factors..
Anyway for short I'd say don't always look for who is faster, look for the balance between high speed and a low latency.
You NEED low latency for gaming.

Good luck

Adsl is best in terms of latency( if ur using 3g in online gaming you will never het any kills due 2 latency). 4g may work as low latency but have not tried it. You can check vodacom coverage map for lte

Has anyone got any new suggestions. Bitco is not taking new customers and in my area I have very high trees so LOS to Level-7 impossible. My ADSL is just degrading as time goes on and Telkom just don't care.
