Best brand speakers

I don't waste brainpower deciding on speakers. It's one of the few things where I've found professionals that I can trust. HFX Systems. Let them sort out your audio, and you worry more important things.

B&O is rebadged phillips stuff, you pay through your nose for the marketing, same goes for bose. It depends on what you are looking for. If you want recognizably super trendy speakers that cost a lot without the performance, those are the ones to go for. Settled familiar brands that will actually give you proper performance will be B&W, PSB, JAMO, Paradigm, Monitor Audio & maybe Polk Audio. Those are the brands that people who research this stuff actually buy. Yes you have your esoterics, but for most speakers between R5k and R150k one those suppliers will probably be your best bet, especially if you are doing bulk deals. Personally, I like B&W, its good value for money, an old money british brand that is very recognisable and their technology is very up to date.

You need to provide the budget and audio requirements. For a medium-sized restaurant, you don't need major power as much as clarity. For an outdoor space, you may need more wattage. However, why are you considering surround audio setups for an "eco resort"? Surely nature should provide the sounds? Perhaps a very soft accompaniment, but that wouldn't require much more than a decent hifi? I think we require much more info to give good advice. Alternatively, call on a specialist to visit the site and recommend a decent, neat, discretely-installed setup.
 
Well we're doing an eco reosrt in China, deep in the mountains full of water and mozzies, just a home theatre for the living room bedroom, very small area with a bed purely for relaxing and watching tv, like maybe 4 metres by 4 metres (16m2).

Just a few brands to see who will give us a proposal on our 125room resort... :D

Never listened to B&O but Bose I have and it's kuk, definitely not true sound.

Out of the others you listed I must say I really like Monitor Audio but at the time I was buying were only available in jhb so I ended up with something else. The rest are also great.

Assuming that it's not going to be playing music loudly enough to discern the difference between "good quality" and "seriously excellent quality" audio, I'd consider putting in a discrete Onkyo or even Yamaha surround set. You don't need to blow thousands for something that won't really be fully listened to. Put in a good "good quality" surround AV setup which also handles the video output, assuming the area will also provide a screen?
 
For that size room you hardly need a proper home theater sound setup. Personally? if I was doing a bedroom HT? I'd put in an Orb Audio system, maybe with a nice Denon or Marantz AVR. The Onkyos are good quality receivers, but they just get too hot.

Another nice system I've worked with is the Q Acoustics QAV system. Those are much more the kind of thing you should be looking at in a 20 sqm bedroom.

FYI, the Orbs will probably have the edge in sound quality, but the QAV just integrates so nicely.

I just got my Polk Audio CSi A6 center speaker today :) Although I'm about to run it off ****ty cables... seems the post office redistributed my decent ones :(
