Im gonna come out and say it even though people will disagree.

Xavi is simply the best central midfielder in the world.

I used to always debate about him vs Gerrard but the way Xavi controls a game and distributes the ball.

Every single Barca attack comes through him. I think he is ahead of Gerrard.

Bring it Pool fans :D

Stevie g is simply the best allround footballer on the planet

name me any other footballer that could play in defence ,center mid, on either wing and as a striker and still looks like the best player on the pitch

why i choose Stevie is not because He plays for Liverpool :D but because
the dude averages 20 goals and 15-20 assist a season for the last 3-5 seasons ,Xavi possibly has more assist than him in a season but totally lags behind him in the goals department :D

and oh yes No body in this world has had a bigger impact on the big games or when his team needs it the most than SUPERMAN

This isnt about goals. This is about which player has more of an impact on a game.

That is Xavi.

Gerrard goes missing alot in games - he comes up and saves the day now and then, then everybody is singing his praises.

Xavi players the same every single week and the reason why Eto, Messi and Henry were so deadly and so hailed as great was because of the small man (Xavi) behind them.
 
In terms of passing ability, no one comes close to Xavi and Xabi. If you talking complete midfielder, then Gerrard is the man, the stats speak for themselves.
 
Im not talking as all round footballer.

I am talking specifically of the role of central midfielder. I dont think anybody comes close to Xavi in that position

Surely goals is the whole point of the game and hence will be the biggest impact of the game.
 
Surely you cannot think that a central midfielder main objective is to score goals.
 
Different types of players Stevie plays more as an attacking midfielder while xavi plays as a genuine central midfielder.

If you want a possession team I would pick xavi but if you want a counterattacking team I would pick stevie g.
 
Bah - you're all fools. Simphiwe Tshabalala is the best all round footballer in the world.

Henry was great when he had Bergkamp next to/behind him ;)

Just joking, Xavi is good, but as far as complete midfielders go, its Gerrard.
