Best Credit Card

Need to have one of the above products also.

No deal. You cannot have a credit card only and earn reward, guess you could make a small investment to qualify for the rewards program (lowest amount I could find is R100, do not know if this qualifies)

oh ya forgot about that :( so its R14 +R11 (flexi account ) and R20 rewards, not sure if that cheap savings account that has no monthly fees count for it.

Odd. I went through the whole process last month without a hitch. What browser are you using? Are you blocking anything like javascript?

When using my FF and I click on "no" here: https://www.virginmoneyonline.co.za/osf/VMCC.jsp
... It reveals the rest of the application without a problem:

Edit: Yes it doesn't work on Chrome.. grrrrr and lately Firefox just not so fast anymore?

Investec Platinum

Other than just wanting everyone to know you bank with Investec, are their benefits actually any better than other banks in terms of helping the OP's decision?

I use my Investec card as my daily transaction card, but couldn't really be bothered with add-ons and what the benefits are.

Inferring that I bank with Investec is unwarranted.

If someone asked me for the best car in SA I'd say a topline Merc. I happen to drive a 2005 Fiesta 1400.

Thought about the Investec route when I was still doing articles, their fees are just crazy! (My opinion as I don't use special garage card, credit card etc and normal bank account fine for my needs)

Discovery card with vitality and a discovery or other vitality linked health plan.

Pnp smart shopper points multiplied by 10... I get a good 500 bucks a month value there alone.
Pnp healthy food - 25% back into medical savings booster.
Clicks healthy living- 25% cash back on OTC medication, as well as club card points multiplier..

Great, but you still haven't explained what benefits Investec offers that makes them any better than other cards?

They charge R285 or something per month, all included - internet banking, transaction fees etc. Not too bad for a transaction account isn't it?

Crazy. I pay fnb a hundred bucks a month for all that. Or less. Can't remember.

I pay FNB currently around R49 pm for unlimited electronic transactions, internet banking etc.. add another R45 pm for the share investor fee = best I found, I even compared my routine with Capitec's calculator and I score with FNB! :D
