Best Credit Card.

That's one I'm talking about. I get about 0.666% back in miles but then its gets multiplied by 10 since I'm on diamond so it's about 7%. Then I use my miles to boast my retirement saving. I also have purple invest so they boast my miles contribution by 4 therefore I get back about 28%. And if you bought items that are regarded as healthcare or fruits you get another 25% back in cash.

Apologies was replying to someone before, Thank you though, was hoping to find someone with experience with fnb and discovery!

Thanks all!

So I am on the right path with FNB, just need to up my Ebucks level now!

Why not? I swipe mine and get 15% back in ebucks later, that R60 of a R400 fill up.

If I used my Capitec debit card I'd get f'all back.

This has been explained.

If it was an issue the media would have reports on it now and then, it was just the banks being their useless self, all the articles on it is old. Your one is 7 year old.

This has also been explained.

I've been slack on using the app the last few months to get 2 transfers done, so that normally gets me level 3.

I just set up a debit order to move R250 to my easy savings pocket every month so that should get me to 4!

Level 5 Im not sure about, when my phone upgrade comes through this month, if I can get a duel sim phone, ill get the fnb sim and hopefully fulfill it that way.

You can do the app and savings pocket. The upgrade to Islamic. Then you will be lvl 5

Yes it does, it's illegal to buy fuel on credit.

EDIT: the 2009 law change just allowed the use of CC's at petrol stations, as far as I'm aware a fuel swipe attracts immediate interest still.

There's a thread here that shows some confusion:

I'd check your statements as I'm pretty sure fuel is counted as a "cash advance" like a transfer or cash withdrawal. /tinfoil Which is why the rewards are so much higher, to catch people and charge them interest /tinfoil

With FNB, no interest.

I have discovery and fnb. They both good. I use fnb for fuel and checkers. And discovery at their retailers.

Discovery is kinda of a dark horse. Surprisely it can give you back over 50 percent of you spend depending on your integration.

Cancelling my Discovery card this month. GATVOL of high call volumes so we can't take your call and having to check my statement every month.

February the fees were R88, they credited R29.50 - it was an error.
March the fees were R88, they credited R29.50 - same error, they had added an extra card instead of cancelling a lost card.
April the fees are correct but SNEAKED INTO the statement header "fees R30.00". I say sneaked in because it doesn't show when checking transactions on the internet.

Currently I'm leaning towards Capitec, the only drawback being they don't allow "recurring payments" or what they term subscriptions. I'll visit a branch this week to clarify because we all have monthly deductions don't we? I certainly do.

I meet the first 2 like you. What I do for the 2 transactions on app: put money into my cheque account and then transfer it over the the CC in 2 transactions on app. I use some of the ebucks earned that I sell, to put R250 into my savings pocket. That puts me on level 4.

I don't have FNB connect (or loan or policy or home/car), but I but when I opened my cheque account I made it Islamic and thus I am on level 5, not 4.

One thing I hate about discovery is that there's so many benefits they offer and their system is complicated. I renewed my shoe blaster in Feb but it hasn't been activated and I haven't received my money.

But at least now I have my private purple consultant and he deals with all these issues I noted. He's quite quick. I just WhatsApp him and he responds with an hour or 2

Transfers shouldn't count as transactions? Think I saw that somewhere in the rules

There have been quite a few threads on MyBB about the different card benefits that are available with the recent threads largely still relevant. It all depends on what you want, which reward scheme or card benefits fit your requirements, and what you are willing to do to get them.
