Best Gaming Keyboard

Game doesn't have stock too, scratch the idea of going to them and having them beat the price :(

(tried the Stamford Hill branch, Gateway & Pavillion...it fails)

R300 bucks is ridicules! , thats less than dealer prices

anyway ... i see the G11 is very big, hows the reviews on it

So I am dredging up an oldish thread, but I am hoping for somebody to make up my mind here...

I have looked at both the Microsoft's Sidewinder X6 and Logitech's G11 (G15 too). I am tending toward the G11, as it seems there are a number of additional features which make it a great get. I like the fact that it's appears to be quite versatile, its multimedia ability, the blue back lighting and that fact that it's not Microsoft

I see from the specs that it appears that you can route other USB items through it, like the a mouse? Is that right?

Anyone got any specifics on why they prefer their Sidewinder or G11?

who needs a keyboard when you can use a Nostromo n52

As long as it does not have silver bits in it as well.

Dude, the MS SideWinder X6 really is awesome. It is way better than any of those Logitech models. It lacks certain features as you mentioned, but it's classier and looks really good. It also has probably more than 10x the number of macro keys, separate backlight colors for macros and normal keys, etc. The number pad can also be relocated to the left or right of the keyboard. The backlight strength is also fully adjustable. It has so many nifty features. If you're faced with the choice at this moment, get the SideWinder.

For every person there choice is different, I dont like the logitech series at all and far prefer the microsoft hardware, that said my keybaord of choice is the Ergonomic 4000 from MS, that sidewinder is dam nice too though

Thanks for throwing the tiger among the turkeys :D

Will need to give it some more thought. Would, of course be best if you could test-drive different machines before making the final purchase, but it doesn't happen like that anywhere I know.

Anyone know a brick 'n mortar shop who might have both in stock (price aside)?

Look n Listen stock the Microsoft sidewinder range.
