Hi guys

I have a horrible (horrible) sense of direction, so I thought it would make sense for me to buy a SatNav. I am debating about buying a 4.3"/5" or a 6".

Does anyone have any insight on this? Thinking of the Garmin Drive 50LM at the moment, but I don't know about the screen size. Want to be able to see the map easily, but I don't want too much of my view to be blocked.

I own an Opel Corsa Sport if that matters at all.

I have both a 4.3" and a 5" and either one suits me fine. With the 5" I don't get as many finger errors as with the 4.3. Although the bigger screen distracts me more at night because theres more light from the screen even though the brightness is turned down.
For me, the 6" is unnecessarily large. One absolute feature to have is traffic updates so get an LMT version over an LM version.

What model do you have? And are the traffic updates useful/accuate enough to justify the extra money?

Best screen size for a GPS is whatever size screen your phone has.

Seriously though, Google maps is so far ahead of any stand alone GPS, and with waze and traffic data it's a no brainer

4.3" is the nuvi 2497LMT and the 5" is the nuvi 2589LMT. So they're the previous generation units before the Drive series came out.
I find the traffic useful. Just to know if there is traffic on my route and how long I expect to be delayed. I can always decide to go a different route or just stick with it. I do find that it works better when connected to the smartlink app on my phone. Traffic is more current.

Try to get one with lifetime maps & lifetime traffic.

Screen - the bigger the better. I've found the TomTom's to generally have bigger but inferior screens so that is your call in terms of trade-off.

Personally prefer the Garmins.

I've personally not done the phone as GPS thing (at least not for driving) so can't comment how that compares.
