Thanks, this is interesting. Do you want to divulge under which institute you are registered, for interest sake. I always see you on financial threads, making me wonder.Tried a few insurers before moving to them.
Had a few claims over the years the first claim happened within the first week of switching over to them within the same week money was on account so couldnt have had better service.
Claims ranged from cars to house hold items ZERO issues
I was with PPS short term for a while. Really amazing claims process via Hollard, their underwriter. Had some major claims that where great and effortless, but last year they put through a major price hike (15%) on my premium with no real reason. My claims where long ago and the expensive one was zero fault on my side and reclaimed from the other driver. Tried to negotiate and they where really rude and said no unless I increased my excess. They have made so much money off me in the last 5 years it was disappointing. Switched to discovery and could not be happier. Not only was my car and content insurance R500 cheaper than the PPS price but I also get cash back of about R1200 per month between me and the wife's car drive rewards. Effectively cuts my insurance costs from R3200 at PPS to around R1500 with discovery. I have yet to claim from them but I have family and friends with them who have claimed with no issue. So I am a big fan. The spyware on your car via their telematic device at first seemed a bit extreme but honestly it has made me a better driver and rewards me for it with cold hard cash so I have become a supporter of it.PPS if you qualify
No need for institution straight bcom was sufficient when registeringThanks, this is interesting. Do you want to divulge under which institute you are registered, for interest sake. I always see you on financial threads, making me wonder.
King Price about to be tested.
Initial signs are not great. You go to the trouble of filling out a claim on their application and it is worthless until some contact centre drone deigns to call you and repeat everything again. This time they failed to call (being South Africa, there is no voicemail or text message either, way too much trouble clearly).
Incident happened on Friday night, I called this morning to share a new piece of information (police report number) and found nothing at had been done but their system records that an attempt to contact me was made.
At every turn you're condescended to in being reminded of Ts&Cs - some sort of snivelling attempt to decline the claim.
