Best IPHONE 3G vodacom deal?

Hi guys, I need to upgrade, whats the best deal that I can get on a Iphone and from which reseller?!

....and if I had to choose, Nokia N79, HTC TOUCH HD or IPHONE 3G?!?!

im currently on the standard Talk 200s

I'd really appreciate some input, or link to a thread that could help me.

i'm just not sure if im ready for the shift to Itunes, cuz i've been trying to avoid it for a couple of years now, but seems like its inevitable....

Regarding the vodacom deal, I'm not sure what exactly the current deals are, I got the Iphone with a Talk500 package and had to pay R1700.

It's the 3G 8GB
 
If you want a cellphone why do u include a Iphone in your list
 
I upgraded my talk 120 to a iphone 16bg on the weekend.
The payin was 2999. I dont think you will get better on that with a upgrade

The strange thing is through all these complaints, no one has ever looked at the software management of the phone, the way your software gets updates to the latest version and I am not talking about the firmware. Nor do they mention the amazing backup of all your data on the phone, making it amazingly simple to restore your phone and getting all your settings back.

NOR do they mention the amazing touch screen as well as motion sensors and proximity sensors that opens up great possibilities for software development, and I will not even mention that its a great phone because the OS actually works like a pc(or should I say mac), which makes it easy to configure

Nope it always goes back to sms forwarding (which is solved in irealsms and most other sms apps), or the lacck of mms (which is available via swirly mms), and guess what, yesterday I say xgps, according to the log on cydia, its going to be a voice prompt turn by turn gps app (busy with development), tested it yesterday and with the iphone gps it works like a charm (maps are still a problem as they do not have expensive mapping software, the need to resort to google maps)

I suspect it's because most of the people who post about how bad the iPhone is and all the features it lacks, actually don't own an iPhone so have no real first-hand experience with the device.

Often it's the more subtle features that makes a device great and you only discover these by actually using the phone. The Apple App-Store is a good example.

I see the same with BlackBerry's. It has features that are truly useful but you only realise this when you actually use the device.

But hey, we're all on this forum because we have strong opinions, so it's just the way the cookie crumbles. :)
 
I agree a standard iPhone is crap, but once you pimp it out with all the cooool apps, its hard to find a better phone/gadget out there!

If they only made a iPhone nano...:)
 
I got my iPhone 3G free on a Pro120 Weekender and only pay R399 p/m. But sadly that was a promotion that ended January 6th.

I had to get a new phone/provider because I pretty much had it with Nokia phones (previous phone N95) and MTN's shady data bundle.

Get the iPhone bud... it was on the cover of TIME! nuf said.
