Best iPhone Apps

Noob question. I have the SA app store and most of the apps mentioned here are not available. Cut the rope is not there. I cannot create a us account, so how do I get these apps?

Have a look at the Iphone tips and tricks thread. The first post has step by step instructions. Just remember to choose a free app. ;)
 
The Stick Cricket app is finally out and it is free in the app store.

Great app... I would definitely recommend it.
 
That Word Lens app is awesome, especially if you are traveling abroad.
 
Star wars Arcade Falcon with AR mode...that is awesome......
EA games on special for $0.99 FIFA 11, Tiger woods....which is awesome btw.....
 
I have been playing cut the rope and game dev story for the past week non stop, Game Dev story in particular is like crack
 
Everyone may not agree with me, but I have to add DSTV Mobile Decoder to this thread (version 1.00 that is). I found it so handy at the cricket the other day. They never show those controversial replays on the big screen, buy I had my iPhone with DSTV Mobile ;)

iTunes have apps of the week and Staff recommendations which are updated regularly and it's a great place to start when looking for new apps. Some good advice would be to open a US iTunes store account if you can just so you have a wider range of choice than the apps in the local iTunes store. Also keep checking apptrackr for new releases and updates...
You'll also find as you go that you like apps from particular developers... For me, I've found I prefer games from EA and Gameloft so I keep checking for their updates and new releases.
There are 200 000+ apps in the app store so there will always be something new or something you didn't know was there before and that's half the fun.

Wow. I suppose these are all jailbroken? Inother words, not paid for apps? How else do you d/l them? I have been d/l the free stuff - not much to write home about..
