I heard they get throttled like crazy with IS's star rating policy.
No different than WA.
No 30 day crap either.

One thing they don't have is download plus hours - this is something Web Africa control on their products shaping management. Remember that just because there are lots of accounts with star ratings at different providers, it doesn't mean that one's stars won't fall faster than another's stars. IS have set up the accounts as each service provider wants them set up.
Saying that I wouldn't be able to say which account is better in terms of keeping the stars high, that you would have to see for yourself.
If you download between 23:00-6:00, your star rating is unaffected.
So, yes they do.
I would be interested in this product if that is the case. Where did you see that this is the case?
Personal experience.
Well I'll give it a try if the offer is still available by the time my current uncapped is cancelled![]()
Offer is for first 1000 customers.
If you're not a 24/7 downloader, and schedule your DL's for 23:00-6:00 (weekends included), I'm sure you will be happy. I've been happy with Plugg for over a year (4mb) but since IC came around, their pricing was too good to resist, so good in fact that I'm trying the 10mb account on my 4mb line just to see if stars drop any different, esp on unshaped weekends (which is unfair if you ask me), so far I still see stars dropping over the weekend if I netflix a lot for example, although at a slower pace.
What I might end up doing is, going back to 4mb account @ R260, and use the @lantic bolt on for weekends. More admin I know, but there really isn't anything better out there.
At least I will be saving on my line at the end of the month when hopefully all the line upgrades are done, and I call to downgrade my imaginary 10mb down to 4mb, then demand the 25% discount by committing for 12 months.
I did that..... Best option ever. My area just won't get upgraded to 10Mbps. So I called and they downgraded me to the 4Mbps option for R299.
I had the discount on the 10Mbps price of R415 but now after the downgrade the discount is still the same of R127.
So I am paying R172 for a 4Mbps line and already served 6 months of my contract. Maybe you should get the discount before downgrading.... Maybe it will be more like mine?
On Openweb Golf Power 2 MB and not getting any love from it.
Normal HTTP downloads for work related stuff is shaped like mad! Bother during and after hours.
Browsing is decent and highly unstable!
Anyone got any other options ??
