Best Laptop brand

Hi Guys

Our company would like to standardize on a certain brand of laptop can anyone please advise what would be the best brand and why you would say so?
 
I have a IBM Lenovo X61 - Pretty reliable solid laptops. Only thing i dont like is their designs are not great and up to date. I also have a Fijitsu siemens which are really great value for money! Stick with any of the main brands and you ok, it boils down to personal taste in the end. ;)

Lenovo/IBM. I have two laptops: An IBM R52 and Lenovo 3000 N200 and neither of them have let me down yet. Amazing machines.
 
BMW is using Lenovo, HP and Panasonic laptops at the moment.

Lenovo: only for cheap Office-Laptops (T61)
Panasonic (CF-52) and HP (8710w) for High-End / productive usage (are more reliable)

Erm Lenovos are far from cheap :confused:
 
Forgot to mention that my entire company all use Lenovos. Thats the company standard.
 
HP
  • Most notebooks perform approximately the same, so for similar performance, HP notebooks are cheaper
  • For most business users, you don't require a cutting edge machine. Today's entry-to-mid level notebooks should be enough for most business users (technology has far surpassed business requirements)
 
+1 for HP. Apart from running well, they are built really nice. Sturdy.

EDIT: I know a lot of companies have some sort of deal with Dell though.
 
Just watch out for HP's that house the "Atlantis and apollo motherboard". There seems to be a known defect with them.

Not sure if its been resolved tho...
 
Dell - The service and reliability are great ,great technical support as well.
IBM - The same except for the technical support part
 
I dont understand why schoolkids feel they are qualified enough to make a recommendation on standardisation of hardware for a company:confused::rolleyes:
 
Dell - for their next bussiness day support and they realy are good machines
Lenovo - good tough machines, support is not so hot.
