Sure it does. One forum member is saving money with his secondhand iPhone 11 because it just works unlike his new Samsung at the same price that broke after 2 years.

Yes indeed. Some game software is however better optimised for Apple phones, but this S23FE at R10K is a good phone which will receive 5 years of security updates.

Lol the whole argument is honestly crazy, iPhones are awesome but they're insanely over priced, you pay a premium for the brand and no one can really deny it. The reason they're holding their value so well is that your average joe honestly cannot afford the new devices, so he'll buy a 4 year old iPhone because that's what he can afford, there's a high demand for used iPhones because of the brand and the barrier to entry (price).

While on the other hand who wants a 4 year old android because seriously who actually wants a 4 year old phone, people can afford new androids so the demand for used devices is simply not there.

So in conclusion, I bought the wife a brand new Samsung S23 FE over the weekend for R9 499 and I would compare the phone to an iPhone 13 or 14.. So in my opinion you're getting a larger screen more features, more storage and a brand new phone for less than a pre-owned iPhone 13, killer value for money.

Now is any of this going to stop me from paying eye watering amounts of money for the new iPhone when my 12 pro max finally dies, probably not, because consumerism is one hell of a drug.

I don't think those features particularly matter, unless you're a niche user whose looking for a specific feature set you're unlikely to care, UWB will be included in every phone just like NFC if and when it becomes mainstream, faster wireless charging is pointless because it's wildly inefficient compared to wired charging, plus the S23 FE has reverse wireless charging to charge up your mates dead iPhone at a jol after he was going about his Qi2 wireless charging :ROFL:

Well not entirely true.
You buy your iPhone 15, then you sell it again for R14-15K and only have to pay in around 10k for your iPhone 16. Same price as you now paid for an old model Android.
Standard bas model iPhone 14 still go for 10-12K secondhand. So even if you keep it 2 years before upgrade you still going to pay just over 10k for the newest model.

Nobody cares. It's much more convenient. With Magsafe it's only 25% less efficient now.
