Hi.
Looking to get a 4G MiFi device to use with a Rain sim. So far I think the best all rounder is a Huawei E5885. My only concern is its quite an old model now and I thought it does 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz simultaneously but a quick search in the forum revealed a member said it does not.
Any and all advice will be appreciated.

That's basically the best one last time I looked. It has an Ethernet port as well so if you're desperate you can plug it into a more beefy router.

You're not going to get top-tier performance from one of these things. They're about portability.

As @newby_investor pointed out, you only need dual band WiFi to deal in crowded areas. The other things are not really needed. I wouldn't bother with lack of simultaneous dual band WiFi. These portable devices usually serve one person on the road.

I paid R600 for a Huawei E5577 last year but I think they have been replaced by another model now.

I'm very happy with mine.
