Hi

I had the 2GB with the MF190 modem for the last year and i just got the 5GB Sim special on Cell C today. When i play games online locally I usually get between 80-100ms in general, will purchasing the 21mb usb modem help with my latency at all? I usually get 2mb down and 1.5mb up in general.

My limited experience - E220, K4505z, K4605, the faster the modem, the lower your latency. That is at my location, using Vodacom, MTN and Cell-C SIM's

Depends how much money you want to spend. I can't advice for gamers, but with normal WEB browsing E367 gives me faster throttle up: WEB sites are loading faster, as transition from idle is noticable quicker. So I would set for HSPA+ modem as a minimum. Cost wise E367 R700, vs E372 R1400 - it shouldn't be much difference between those two albeit of maximum speed.

I have no E1820. I did compare E367 versus K3565 on CellC network few days ago, now I am using Vodacom Internet Starter Pack comparing to E272. No speed tests on Vodacom Internet Starter Pack, sorry guys....

Results are similar in both cases.

Think i'm going to take a dive & try out the K4605 see if anything is any differant to my 1820

Take note that there is an issue with E372/K4605 modems on Cell-C's network in certain areas, see here.
Cell-C are coincidently are looking for someone to test in the Durban area.

You shouldn't expect too much with e367, except heating problems whould be less severe and of course external antenna issue. If you try K4605, check it in low signal areas, it has type3i antenna, expect 3dB improvement in SNR.
