Good people,

Mr Blu is upgrading his phone. He prefers using Nokia.

He is not too hung up on fancy gadgets, but what's very important to him is simply the ability to SMS, call and possibly access e-mail.

What would be the best phone in this instance? He prefers something sleek and small, not burdensome and big like e.g. Blackberry.

Thanks :)

There are lots of Nokia's. The contract you opt for will determine the list you can choose from. Will help to narrow down reccomendations also...

I have an E65 and I'm loving it! The 6500 is not Symbian... so don't go there. the 6210 is also very cool... Sybmian, with all the Symbian coolness and built in GPS...

I had a 6120 Classic. S60 (v3SP1), very fast, good battery life, and small enough to fit in your pocket (and slip out and get lost, in my case). If you only want SMS and email, this one is good value for money.

I'd recommend the 6210 Navigator. Great all round phone and its dirt cheap, + GPS is a very useful thing to have on your phone.

Yeah I concur with Piesang, E71 is solid... Not to flash but well specced none-the-less.. Also consider the N96 or N85...

Hi All

Whats a good Nokia to get for about+- R1600.00 does not have to be new?

Must have an S60 platform.

Any Ideas?

E71 would be overkill for someone simply wanting to make phone calls and send a few SMS...

What is his current phone? For R1600 I'd suggest a used N73
