Hi

My house has no landline and it would be to expensive to put in a line (My driveway would need to be dug up)
After HSDPA frustration I got Wimax an are very happy with it.

My wife makes a lot of calls to landlines via Cellphone which cost us a arm and leg.
I am looking at Voip as a cheaper solution to call landlines
What would be the best bet for me?

I have researched Vox but the problem with Wimax is that I have hack around to make it work with wimax
I have a Linksys wireless router behind my Wimax modem. Would some a company like Switch Telekom be the best to use?

Tia

Switch Telecom's service works perfectly on Wimax and will work perfectly behind a LinkSys router with NAT.

Yes. Either device will plug into one of the ethernet ports on your router. I'd suggest a DECT cordless phone if you're going to be using it within a residential environment.

See http://www.switchtel.co.za/index.php?nav=voip_phones

You may have seen comments on some of the other threads about the Siemens C470 IP; this is an excellent phone for residential use. More info at the above link.
