Best steak I had that I can remember?

Harlequins in Groenkloof.

Many other good ones enjoyed at Crawdaddy's, Kream and Capital Craft. But Harlequins still stand out.

Buy a fillet. Get braai sauce. Put in a bowl overnight. Let it soak.

Braai it and grind fresh pepper corns over it and also baste once each side. Also only turn once.

Half the price. Twice as good as most places

Try an airfryer. They do superb steaks.

Why? You can make absolutely killer steak at home in under 10 minutes and a fraction of the cost. Steak is typically one menu item I skip at restaurants because it can be made to absolute perfection at home. Not sure where you from but hillside tavern in Pretoria is amazing.

You need nothing more than a good cast iron pan, salt, pepper garlic flake and a good steak.

Bang for buck steaks, my vote goes to Crawdaddy's Waterglen

Steak is incredibly quick and easy to prepare at home and will cost less and taste better than most restaurants imo.

Used to like Porterhouse or even a rump, but as time went by, I started to love club steaks. Probably because it's cheaper. Funny what just a few centimeters left or right, makes to price.

Not me. I normally just gooi Woolies Masala steaks in and judge time depending on how long the meat has been sitting in my fridge

But I think a few folk here have mentioned recipes in the airfryer thread.

This, I absolutely refuse to order steak at a restaurant, at best it will only ever be as good as I can cook it at home but paying twice as much for the privilege.
