Nothing beats heat holders, socks, bennies, and the long-jones do a better job than more expensive brands.Dischem Heat Holders are the best and cheapest, but just know your feet will sweat so use powder.
I’m in the UK so not going to be of use to you. Go Outdoor bargain bin. Peter Storm is the brand.Any brand or where do you buy?
The Heat Holders for R99 a pair look like the answer, It’s worth having at a pair or two even if only used for a few weeks during winter and in that case they will last for many years and hence become incredibly "cheap".So the question, is the few days of cold feet worth breaking my inherent cheapness regarding the prices for the socks list above:
R196 and R210 per pair!
They are definitely warmer.I have heard of those, are they warmer than normal cotton socks though, the webpage doesn't specifically mention them being a warm alternative?
Nice, how much warmer and thicker than normal sports socks are they?
Too thick to wear with any shoes. My usual shoe sock is quite thin (toe socks) so these are much warmer than that. At home I usually wear thick socks with the rubber grip patterns underneath and these are a bit warmer than those. Dischem had thinner one's intended for use with shoes but with a lower warmth rating.Nice, how much warmer and thicker than normal sports socks are they?
Thanks good to know, are you just going to wear them around the house?Too thick to wear with any shoes. My usual shoe sock is quite thin (toe socks) so these are much warmer than that. Yeah got a pair to wear at home and a pair for work - take my shoes off and slip on some warm socks. I'm fine if walking around during the day it's when I'm sitting working etc. that I need something warmer on my feet. Don't wear shoes in the house so thick socks are perfect. Thanks good to know, are you just going to wear them around the house?
