Best value combo?

And the Quality? Last time I checked it out around 2019, if was all low quality stuff meant for tablet sized viewing.
That and whenever you tried to view from Server 1,2,3 it would buffer.

In this country the internet is so awesome, even DSTV Premium buffers, that is when their client doesn't crash, or suffer from some or other ailment.

You set it up on the router. Just change the DNS 1 and DNS 2 to the custom ones provided by Control D/ Getflix etc.
Ok thanks! Does this then fool all of the streaming providers to show US content for example? The Disney app seems quite abysmal for our local market to be honest, even though the content seems OK.

True, I just want something that plays almost instantly, no buffering, keeps track of what I watch.
At the moment I don't pay for anything, not subbed to any Plex Share, I got into 2x server's in the UK for free, as long as I watch more than 45min a week I'm safe.
I have a 45Mb vdsl line and even trying to play their "remux" which takes a couple seconds to start, it hasn't buffered yet.

When you set it up, you select the streaming services you want to watch, with check boxes.

So you set this up within the router or does it need to be set up on the device itself?
I set the DNS on my router so everything in the house is covered. We had a ton of different streaming devices so it's just easier that way.

Will this also fool Google Play into tricking it to download the US version of the apps? For instance, we have the Hotstar app in SA for Disney and the US market receives the local one.

Well, it allowed me to install iPlayer, ITV, and ALL4 apps from the playstore in the UK, all the while sitting at home in Bloemfontein. Should do the same in the USA.

Sorry, technically disadvantaged speaking here - regarding a smart DNS - is it a setting that can be changed on your router by yourself, or is it software that must be bought and installed like a vpn ?

GetFlix, Smart DNS, and Windscribe's Control D are similar services, and are not VPN's.

They do not encrypt your connection and don't move you IP address to a different location, as a VPN does. They do allow you to geo-unblock streaming services.
