To all those medical aid guru's out there.

Bestmed is changing their plans structure for 2018.

We are currently on Pace 1

Linked and pasted below is still the 2017 plan
One of the major things they are dropping is cancer treatment.

Now my main question is.
Do I up my plan to Pace 2? Extra ±R2000
Or look for another like Discovery etc?

Is this medical aid any good? According to my FA, they offer the same coverage as Discovery for about R500 a month less. Anyone recommend them?

Well just browsing the website quickly it seems they are fairly pricey compared to Discovery Classic Saver and it seems they are very shy with their benefits.
I would say take a look at the Discovery Classic Saver plan

And Co payments on discovery?

And Co payments on discovery?

There are co-payments when it comes to things like CT Scans which aren't done as part of a hospital admission or Xrays but other than that not much.
I have Gap Cover with Turnberry for R195 for up to 5 people so that covers any co payments I might have

Thought gap cover was only for in hospital. Did not know covers co-payments etc
