No. You'll need additional physical network capacity to handle the additional traffic.

Telkom placed a UMC right outside our gate - Fibre running into the box... We live in quite a remote area, so I'm happy to at least have ADSL, but a upload speed increase would make things nicer

surely the MSAN rollout will make it possible for Telkom to offer reasonably priced SHDSL though?

Or just lease the copper and let guys figure out ways to run long reach ethernet products ...

1 vs 4 twisted pair(s) copper. Won't happen by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm using pfsense at our office. Load balancing works great.

I currently us a TP-LINK R470T+. Telkom sucks in the area I stay so can only get 4 megs lines max. So I have two 4 Meg Lines Load Balanced via the TP-LINK R470T+. My speedtest results are around Ping 11ms 6.92Mbps Down and 0.76Mbps Up on a good run.
