Beware when ordering from RARU...

So my items that were supposed to be shipped in June are long past, their excuse covid and flight restrictions, yet those items are still advertised with a shipping date of 15 to 25 working days? Sigh I'm just going to hold off asking for a refund it's only R400 and I do want those blurays maybe one day.

Did you ever get it?

Seriously? Buy from Amazon.com then you get to not have that experience.
Interesting. I ordered something on Amazon in Apr/May and I'm still waiting for it to arrive.

My guess is it's lying at customs or something. No idea if it will ever arrive.

Meanwhile I've ordered from weird sites like karibaa and it arrived within a couple of weeks.

When Aramex screwed up and 1 of my Amazon orders went 1 week after the estimated delivery, contacted customer service and they refunded me immediately.
Honestly I would never wait that long for a package from Amazon and do nothing, if it's not here at the very latest 1 week after the estimate in the order email , I can ask for a shipping cost refund and wait or take a full refund, which is what I did last time.

You should definitely contact Amazon CS.

It's not really a big deal. Was a very cheap order. Would have asked for refund ages ago if it was more expensive.

Lodged a complaint with the Consumer good association against them, 3 months since supposed delivery? Not a word, not an update from them.

I order board games all the time from Raru, no other place in SA can get them for Raru prices or at all.

These are pricey purchases, if you order something that says 30 days it's more like 3 months and anything longer can take some serious time to arrive.

But they arrive and except for once arrive in good nick. Honestly its either waiting a long time or never getting it.

They also keep you up to date with delays and once I had to cancel my order they refunded me.

Not the greatest service but when it's the only service what choice do you have.
I'm in the same boat as you. Raru can often get hold of PS4/PS4/Nintendo Switch games that don't get local releases. So I have no other option but to use them and it takes a while. It sucks because they are quite shitty. Hopefully Amazon in South Africa can remedy this problem when they launch in SA and I don't have to use RARU ever again

you can still order via amazon.com

If it ever arrives, seen numerous complaints now on hellopeter as well.

Yes, but with shipping and customs included(Express shipping is nice on Amazon and very fast). Games often times work out significantly more. But I do use Amazon from time to time. But there is a huge difference in price at times.

Luckily I've always gotten what I ordered. But they do take a long time. Don't think I'll be using Raru for long any more. Every order is getting me more paranoid.

dont use Amazon express shipping if you willing to wait a long time for raru, Amazons normal shipping is a week anyway...

Mine was supposed to ship 3 months ago.

Raru shipping is a week if you're in 2019, so far I've seen people complaining of 3 to 5 months if that.

I'm getting paranoid now. Even though I use Raru regularly.

I am considering cancelling my order. In the case that a refund is an issue. Who can I contact to light a fire under their asses. Or which consumer protection agency etc, do I contact?
