Beware when ordering from RARU...

Please elaborate. Will the consumer goods board only assist after 30 days?
No Raru will apparently only refund after 30 days, if not I'll raise it again

If I look at hellopeter. The 30 days from Raru is just an excuse. You aren't getting your refund after 30 days. They will just tell you another story

I would reckon the 30 day refund thing is a vague attempt to get beyond the reporting windows for reversing a credit card transaction, though some banks are 60 days for that.

Payfast has put through the refund but it's showing as a negative amount, so taking it up with payfast.

Did payfast sort it out?

Co-worker of mine got his sorted out as well. He contacted his bank and they reversed it. Even after 2 months they reversed it. I'm thankful for this thread though. Because I will never buy anything from Raru again. Not after what I see how they basically steal your money.

I luckily never had an issue with Loot. I've literally received everything I've bought from them with no issue. Books, Games, Cocaine etc.

Loot can make you wait sometimes but you'll definitely get it and no issues with refunds.

Well I waited for 4 months from Raru with excuses being it wasn't on that shipment

Being another person being screwed over by Raru... They're now saying the Act affords hem 30 Working days for the refund... total BS, so will see what the "service" agents response is.

Just get the bank to do a reverse. How RARU is allowed to still operate baffles me. Hope you get your money back.

This literally doesn't make sense. With SLServices I contacted them, they gave me kak about a payment/refund waiting period, I then added payfast to the discussion, and I was refunded in 14 days. There's no such thing as a waiting period to be refunded or whatever kak they are trying to make themselves believe our any of their customers.

Finally, I also targeted all of their payment gates. This why I said it is rather simple: The more pressure you apply from all sides, that is payment gates, hosting companies, social media etc etc the faster they will be motivated. I didn't even get to opening a saps case, yes saps means ****all, but it is the case number you pass along to their payment gates, and everyone they are involved with that makes it count.

I will never be waiting months and months for them to decided what they want to do when. You just need to keep on going up the chain till they kak.

This + saps case number and having informed their circle of friends about it. It takes one strike against payfast as a provider for providing for an entity like this to quickly turn them also into question. To give an example, afrihost with concrete evidence will drop you and stop hosting you.

We've done these loops in the past with 'purple matrix computers' or wtf they were called before they left for the safe hills after being caught out.

Who knows, I got the payment in 14 days, but I did approach the consumer council

If you paid for it using your bank card|credit card. You could have done a chargeback. Somethings got to give with Raru. They can't keep doing this. What they are doing is blatantly false advertising and stealing.

Wonder if a person can't contact their hosting provider with all the cases of blatant theft. And get their hosting pulled. I know this sounds dumb, but it seems we are powerless to really stop them. But what they are doing is no right.
