Yup this game is pretty easy on graphics actually, i am running it on ultra with everything as high as it can go and i am getting good FPS on a 6990.

It looks mind blowing actually. Amazing how such a beautiful game can run so well on current hardware, not often you find a game so rich in detail that can run on the one of the best singe cards full.

I have a 3 year old GTX280 and even on that BF3 looks amazing -> albeit not on ultra.

I just got a GTX570 that I was supposed to run on an AMD 955BE system, but because of a mobo issue, I've got it in a Core2Duo E6750 for now, with everything at stock, and it runs perfectly on a mix of High/Ultra.

the game is still but buggy need a couple of patches still. my 2 5870s still serving me well

Yup but not nearly as bad as bfbc2, it's actually got very few bugs compared to some the bf releases in the past. It just need a few minor which is nice to see and they must fix the server crashing issue.

I run at 1920x1080 with everything on medium cause I personally prefer a little more fps than quality, I have never seen what fps I am getting will have to look when I get back home at what I am getting, I would aim for at least 50fps though.

Would be a good idea for people to post their cpu, gpu, ram on a thread and post what settings they are using then what fps they get.

this is my rig but its running at 3.2 currently and with 2 gpus only. third one just a extra.

Amd cards dont like buggy codes. Any buggy game their scheduler prioritize the work but do it wrong. Especially when its a miss in the cache

Black Ops and GTA IV got better after 20 patches. Crappy ports

Well my 6990 runs everything full with 80 odd FPS unless there is a lot of smoke then it struggles. Many people with nvidia cards are experiencing horrible issues. I hope nvidia fix their drivers soon.

Have you fully updated to 10.11 or is it 11.11? Has there been any improvement?

Running 10.3 pre and got no problems. I really wary of the caps it does more harm than good.

Talking about crappy games. Such bad coded games like Shadow Chaser if I'm not mistaken should be burned with its creators or they should leave that crap on the console. Really the game has no build in v-sync which means your card is going to run full throttle full on.
The Gpus like the 460, 6870 and 99 percent of the other cards hits 102 degrees. Number of people rma their Gpus thinking its busted, But seriously such a game can bang up your hardware good.

drivers can't fix stupid design flaws. Amd cards have scheduler and EDC on their ram. Which means some blokes guesses is scheduling your Gpus thread priorities and tap the ram just over the rated speed and EDC is going to start fixing the ram errors. More data more errors. Which slows and gpu down by a big margin.

Nvidia got on the other hand a big old bus to connect the memory to but are looking more they're trying to hotwire a car and connect the thing short and sweet like Amd does.

Running BF3 on a single GTX 460 and it runs beautifully on Ultra.
No issues at all.

Edited to add: also running the 285.62 nVidia driver.

If your a nvidia user tweak your profiles.
Download a application called Nhancer. There's lots of settings that nvidia is hiding from the end user.

Such a beautiful game... Running on my sig with 285.62 drivers on ultra and managing high 70's fps but got some bad tearing so vsync is on... just wish there was a button to press to wipe your face, cause a bit of dust on the "camera" and facing a light is a blinding combination

That's the thing about the newer Gpus. They're made to run on dx 11. All the games that's going to be released are going to follow the same trent.

But just a interesting fact. Do you know that dx 9 and 10 also got Tesselation? Amd Gpus have the feature since the R600 Gpus. They only used the vertex shader for the calculation unlike the newer cards that's got 2 extra shaders for that job.
