BF: Heroes (Client)

Does anyone in CPT have the "client" software for me?

I have my CD Key or whatever it is to get this, but I can't seem to download it - I'm on Neotel, it's slow as hell, I want the client package which I believe is about 4GB or something.

Please?!?

Its not 4GB in size even though the installer in your browser says that, was a mere 400MB download in total. Still, without any local server support, the game is laggy playing it internationally, still its good fun to check it out..

Okay, let me try again and just leave it to go all day on my slow as 10KB/s connection.

Yip - around 400MB was enough to get me the beta.

Gameplay was OK, but high pings and simplified interface irritated me.

There doesn't seem to be much depth to the game.

Well its pretty much like most FPS: choose your class, skill up , fly planes , drive tanks. What more were you expecting? And for free too!

I'm hoping the guys from SGS will see the potential in the game and create a local server and ftp download from their website, would be great to play. It could be the best free to play game on the net.

I dunno if they will , Huge. To host a server you have to pay a monthly cost to the developers. I think thats where they're making their money.

I'm enjoying the game. Even on the international servers, I play with virtually no lag. I have only been kicked once for a high ping, and every now and then (1 in 20 games) it gets laggy.

However, I do agree that a local server would be great. This is not a serious FPS, rather for the casual gamer...and as far as I know its still in beta

mmmkay...now I have to swallow my words, cause since the last update, this game has now become unplayable. I now get kicked 19/20 games for a high ping.

I have found a few servers where they let me play, and I get no lag; however those servers are mostly empty.

Anyone else still playing? If so let me have your handle, so I can add you as a friend and we can share servers that are still playable. ta
