How slow are you getting? Coz im only getting 1.5kbps!!!!!!
 
I'll just leave the PC on the whole night and hope that it doesnt stay at 1.5kbps.. I was playing Special Forces just now.. I like the grappling hook and the zip line.. :D
 
Ok, the 2 pair of links aren't working for me for some reason.. Im downloading the mod thingy from Do Broadband (40kbps WOOHOO!!!). Will try to start the map pack before I goto sleep.

And thanks to DagegeN and all the other guys that helped make this download possible.

3rd of DECEMBER the long wait will be over guys... GTA 4!!!!!
 
Hey guys, I have completed the Core Mod download. But the FTP links are still not working..

IDEA: Maybe we can contact the admins of the Do Broadband Gaming Site and ask them to upload the Map PAck for us.. Will Be a great help..

Im Nearly done, got the core mod last night and the map pack is 73% done, expecting it to be done by 5:30PM... CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!

well hopefully SGS can put a server up and see how it goes. That way for the people who want to play with the mod can,,, they keep special forces open and nobody even plays it...what a waste..that could be used for this mod

Installed last night - must say it runs a bit slow on single player mode, i guess im needing a CPU upgrade. Obviously just to much going on. That said, it seems that single player mode is the only way to play against bots.
Ive tried running a dedicated server with the configurations i made for the mod but it doesnt seem to work. I downloaded the dedicated server application for BF2, but this doesnt allow for the AIX2 mod. I wanted to run this on my laptop so my housemate and i can connect and play without hosting ourselves but it doesnt look like im going to win.
If anybody else knows how to get a dedicated up and running let me know :)
I also cant seem to add bots in the coop game either...
TBH, im slightly dissapointed, game is cool, jets are cool, but starting a multiplayer server with bots is next to impossible.
I hope SGS can put in a server.
 
... it seems that single player mode is the only way to play against bots...

You create a server and select co-op, you can set the amount of bots, once a human player join one of the bots will be removed to make place for him/her.

Or am I reading you wrong?

This mod is fun, in a way it is more polished than vanilla BF2 with better hit detection and weapons and aircraft and so on. We play it co-op at the AFB Makhado Lan where we have lots of fun, all the pilots mess around with tanks and APCs while the ground crew fly with aircraft and choppers.
