bg=Huntards in AV 80%

Damn so how do we get from weak dps, and playing a easy class all the way to arena rankings ??

You running out of straws ?

Boomkin 1 on 1 ... LMAO !!!

You gonna starfire me to death or something ? **sigh**

Go level up a hunter and make some proper smart replies.

You have not played agianst a good boomkin in a duel i take it lol
I kill lvl 64 shadow priest with out them even seeing were i am note i am 59 lol even owned even own hunters in bg with ease.
If i got full mana and force of Nature no hunter can touch me by the time he sees were the moonfire starfire and force of nature comes from hes got 20% health or none.:D Boomkins greatest weapons is stealth and moonfire and starfire dont give you possie away.that way you can take down even a guy that outgear and out lvl you called tactics and knowing your class.
Even if n hunter sees me if force of natures not on cd hes dead even with out it you prob only faced those noobkins that spam starfire thats actualy a dot that does more dmg over time than on impact.I can shoot wraths like a machine gun and put you dumpass pet too sleep i challege any hunter thats lvl59 on TH to try my Boomkin. His name Boomrooker.:D.Those noobs that spam starfire go oom before you dead.A shadow priest or good mage is much more of a challenge than a huntard.

Ill link you some boomkin pvp movies of a imba boomkin on TH

Ok but remember... if the guy you are fighting has AFK above his head, its gonna be sorta easier :D

Honestly, Boomkins are not as hardcore as you would like to think they are.
First get to level 70 then we talk again... up till then, I would really suggest you rather keep quiet about how easy you kill hunters and stuff.
(most likely bots you were attacking).
You are comparing your little boomkin in 1 vs 1 against a pure raw dps class.

As for shooting like a machine gun. You aint seen nothing yet.
Try facing a hunter with 156 haste, rapid fire enabled and drums of battle triggered. Your little boomkin will be dead before you even have your first wrath cast. Attack speed of 0.8 sec's between shots on a 3 sec bow and not even calculating special shots. Oh yea, since you dont know, hunters have track hidden, so your little attack from behind the tree in stealth wont help you much.

LOL @ force of nature. FD and all your boyfriend trees come running back to you. Their HP is a joke as well.

As for chinese dudes farming with hunters.. well duhh yea, the reason they farm with them is because they are such a powerful solo class and they have excellent survivability. Just because chinese farmers use them doesn't make hunters a weak dps class or a easy to play class. Dont make the mistake in thinking a hunter is really easy to play.

Also I would love to see how you put a pet to sleep with BW enabled. Really I would love to see that. Even if you do put him to sleep, BW will break out of it. So for 18 sec's you better run baby... run and run fast !!! Now shush and go level before you talk with the big boys again.

Failed unless bots can duel lol.
For that 18 sec i may run and run fast while you dump pet chases me and you have 2 dots on you insects and starfire and a 3 trees slaping you like a bitch.

Bring ANY lvl 60 hunter with his epics i own him with my greens. As feral they own me i am not very good in feral .
Boomkins are underestimated by so many lol.
Any class can be good in pvp depend on how good you know your spec.

Damn and here I thought all the school holidays were over and all the kids went back to school by now.

Don't you have some quests to go do or something ?
70 is still a long way ...

Ps. remember to spend the talent points as you gain a level every time !

We are fighting over nonsense tbh ;)
Chinese farmers use warlocks as well as hunters, for easy botting, Hunter lvl 30 odd in duskwood, and warlocks lvl 60 odd in winterspring. You only need a pet on aggressive and you assist the pet. Some random walk algorithm as well, also used in BG's to not go AFK...

Now what is really the issue, ANY char can be played by noobs. Hunters and Mages are for me the easiest chars, maybe that’s why I have two of them at 70 as well :p Mages out level hunters by far, so if you want to get to 70 real fast...

Now, make your definition between Hunters and Huntards. Hunters know their class off by hart, you will most likely not find these in PUG's as they will group with their guilds, and do raids mostly. In BG's you will not likely meet them as they will be picked up by premade groups etc. Playing a hunter to its fullest, it is quite easy to out dps any class out there with similar gear. I am still a noob hunter, but are easily doing 850 dps. (Agsilver on Shadowsong EU, any tips on gear are welcome :D )

Huntards on the other hand, is responsible for the bad name of hunters, they are the only autoshoot type or dps nuts that use multishot when there are crown controlled mobs.

I further find that there are a misconception on hunter CC abilities. Yes mages rule this area, but with clever traps and knowing what to do a hunter is just as effective! My guild for a long time always asked me to bring my mage for CC in heroics, but one day I said enough is enough and insisted on taking the hunter. Now the hunter is in just as big demand for CC. (I am tanking mostly though with my Warrior Velocity, as we are lacking tanks a lot)
For interest my mage name is Minette.

Getting to arena's and hunters. Yes we used to do very badly there, VERY! Since deadzone have been removed, the improvements on autoshot and aimed shot, there is now more hunters in the 2000 rating brackets! (I am only as low as 1450 though)

As for moonkins, yes they are good. Blizzard have however neglected them a lot, and the best moonkins I know is fighting in CLOTH! PVE they easily reach 1k dps, but in pvp I have never really had problems with them. At level 60 though my mage really strugled against them.

Finally someone that talks sense.Aoe farming frost mages lvl fast i know.

Nice gear Werries :) That +30 hit scope musta been hard to obtain?

You've pretty much got it covered till you get into ssc/tk, where you can replace t4 with t5

Thanks
The +30 hit scope was indeed hard to get. Not nessaserely finding someone to craft the scope (we used to farm MC a long time ago) but finding all the old moltencore material! I was in luck though and some guild bank was clearing their bank and I got a few cores etc for cheap! Had to track back to silithus to get some ironweb silk aswell :p Well worth it though as I never miss, with shots! :D

petrus .. u guys top of the damage meter, yeah right, sometimes, i will give you that.
not as often as u will believe. dont get me wrong, i like hunters in raids, they do a very good job. In a duel hunters are very hard to beat, but not on the damage meter.
U said we rip them apart, by how much of a % is that?

I missed something here, what class are you playing? :D
I agree with you that hunters are not always top of the damage meters. They are however always there and there about. We also now have to compare apples with apples, so if you compare a hunter with another char they need to have similar gear. Gear for gear MM hunters and Survival hunters are much more on par with other chars in most cases, but BM hunters tend to pull away in fights where their pets are also allowed to fight.
On raid trash mobs I have found Moonkin druids, Warlocks and Shaman to be the best, they simply rip through low Hitpoint stuff, or dot up several mobs at the same time. Mages rule the aoe area, and have decent sustainable dps in boss fights. Hunters, Rogues, Feral druids, Fury warriors tend to rip bosses appart like crazy. I like to view individual fights separate from over all dps.
Now the sad sad truth in this game, and it have been like that for a long time is the scaling of chars and itemization. Some chars scale MUCH better with gear than others. Warriors scale awesomely with gear before TBC if any class saw a warrior in T3 armour in pvp they ran away, 1 shotting people with normal hits were not funny!
Hunters asp Beastmaster scale incredibly well with haste rating(new abilities) and thus with top gear are impossible to catch.
Casters unfortunatly have never scaled well with gear, we complained a lot about it and gear with +spell dmg were introduced, these are however not yet up to scratch with physical damage gear.

Before level 50 you can observe this even better, take two level 29 chars, a Mage and a Hunter. Naked (just a bow for the hunter) the mage will totaly own the hunter, as the mage still deal 80-150 frost/fire bolts, while the hunter does 20-70 shots. Gear both up with the best twink gear, and enchants. Now the mage have a huge mana pool, health pool and does 80-150 +20 Frost/Fire bolts. The Hunter have a huge mana, HP and Agility pool now and doing 150-180 shots. The mage now will loose 6/10 fights against the hunter easily.
That is the nr 1 reason why people twink physical dmg chars, as they dmg output scale with gear a lot more than casters.

Hope the explenation helps a bit :D

Hunter will beat a moonkin in dps if your in a easy dungeon and few MB.
But i dont trust dmg meters anymore myself and friend used the same one
reseted the same time and both got way diffrent reading.

Well i say play what you enjoy if you dig your hunter stick with him.
But i think moonkins on lvl 50-59 is OP with force of nature but do note
thingS are pobably diffrent on 70 and we get owned by all like pre lvl 20s.
Well ill still love my moonkin just like the idea of shooting of a few spells and throwing force of nature while the enemy dont know were its from.

But hunter takes alot less efort to own people. My little sister 13 years old
plays on a pve server a hunter lvl 66 and she still owns in duels from time to time.:D
Well she out lvls me cause i play too many alts. :D
To tell you the truth if you really want to be good in pvp you gotta know ALL classes it like the chinese say know your enemy like you know yourself lol.
Take a game like DOTA to be really good in it you have to know all char.(I played in World Cyber Game Chapoinship)

Petruz

When in a group, you need to sync, your DM with other members.

Reason: It only accumelates damage within a certain range. If a Ranged DPS is to far it won't be on the Tank's DM. Same if a mob scaters. Now if you Sync. DM then checks all DM's from time to time and accumelate them to give the same reading ;)

Recount = best dmg meter /true story

that other 1... wats it called "Damage Done?" only has sumthing like a 30yrd range when monitoring data

Recount has a 200yrd range.

werries2, regarding what you said about shammies, druids etc pulling away on trash... I dunno exactly bout that, the trash is where i can top the meter (i play hunter <3+1) without popping CD's, just a simple bm macro, weaving arc's into it and spamming kc every 2-3secs

on bosses i slack (button bashing gets more exciting than concentration on my rota tbh :D) so i end up 1k-1,1k dps, not to mention most 25man bosses arent /afk fights

ie

VR = gotta dodge big balls of energy
Al'ar = im usually stuck on adds :(
Solar = gotta put down traps (which is where i loss focus) + debuff forces u to stop dps for 5-10sec
Kael so far = nuke adds, weaps get hard to concentrate dps on, get uber bow (3k autoshot crits <3), nuke adds again, we're getting into p4 on a messy note (more work there)

Hydross = MD rotation with another hunter on each phase means 5sec b4 each phase uve gotta target + md + stop dps
Lurker is pretty much the only 1 so far that u can nuke for a good 1min b4 stopping, then again, adds come, Frost trap is always wanted = less time 2 focus
Leo = He changes forms 2 often + inner demon can b a hassle esp once ur "in the zone" with your rotat
Fathom Lord = k hes ezmode, ZERG ZERG ZERG, nice dps off him from all our hunters
Morogrim = Nukefest, but i lay slow traps for the squishie locks + mages
Vashj i havent been on a kill yet :S

Pornolio could fill u in on the BT/MH stuff

Petruz, moonkins arent called Oomkins for no reason, uve got hardly any forms of regening mana, u rely on gear and Innervate?... hunters have Aspect of the Viper, basically, the lower mana we have the more we'll regen...take a long fight... Gruul for example, hunters can go full mana burn, pop aotv and burn again...

tho i dont know druids at all, so enlighten me if they have more

Yeah you guys are imba hunters wonder what does you arena rating say.
You may dominate bg but in arena lol

Epic failure incarnate.

Currently the highest Arena Rated player in the world across US/EU/Korea is dum, dum, dum ,dum..... a Hunter.

From my side... in our guild...
And yes we also use recount, sometimes SWstats if enough people are using it to sync properly, but recount most of the time.

BM hunters pretty much dominate the dps meters in our guild. Certain fights are ofc not friendly towards us where some are.

In MH the trash mobs no-one beats the mages + locks since the trash mobs come in waves which have to be AOE'd down.
First boss - Rage winterchill every single time the BM hunters crush the dps meters.
Second boss Anetheron - BM hunters first and second every single time.
Third boss Kaz'rogal - BM hunters first followed by rogues / dps warriors. Casters hold back since drying up in mana means they self destruct and kill everyone around them, hunters just use aspect of the viper and nuke away with pet on boss the whole time, and fel mana potions help a lot.
Fourth boss Azgalor - Warlocks / mages no1, rogues 2nd and BM spec hunters 3rd. Impossible to prevent your pet from dying here. Not a BM friendly pet fight.
Last boss Archimonde - Well tricky, its not a dps fight, so the results vary, but its never a BM hunter. We run around like crazy. Allthough last night on our kill I managed to top the dps meter with a 1550 DPS, but lost on overall damage to some warlocks. Locks can just dot away and their damage ticks.

BT :

High warlord Narjentus - BM hunters first (assuming they dont get speared and loose lots of dps time), rogues second, mages / locks 3rd onwards. This also depends if you raid leader spaces out the members that you can use your pet. Sometimes the raid leader would prefer if some BM hunters do not use their pets.

Supremus - Seen mixed results.. sometimes mages, sometimes rogues and sometimes warlocks, hunters most of the time 4th / 5th. Lots of running around and pet get p0wn3d a lot there.

Shade of Akama - BM hunters no 1, followed by mages + locks. This boss is still bugged so its pure straight nuke fest.

Teron Gorefiend - Excluding the ghost form dps which is HUGE compared to the normal dps / damage contributors, the results will vary. All depends what classes get the curse that kills them. This fight is extremely favorable towards BM hunters if you dont get the curse that kills you. You can nuke solid for the entire fight and ace all the damage meters. If the BM hunters dont get the curse, they come out tops.

Gurtog Bloodboil - straight forward nuke fest, and because rogues have to run around so much, hunters keep on doing damage being in the soaker area... so yea BM hunters come out tops in this fight as well. Mages + locks follow close behind.

Relinquiry of Souls, cant say yet, but I suspect it will be mixed results. BM hunters can only do real decent damage once they can move out of the circle to do proper dps, otherwise they end up doing melee damage, until such time they can move out to start using their primary weapon.

Honestly if your hunters are doing weak damage, have a look at their builds + choice of gems + HR. Then they are slacking and should do more theory crafting to learn how to play and optimize their class.
Most likely they are still MM / survival spec. There is a lot of factors which can contribute to what level of damage you contribute to a raid.
We are 3 raiding hunters in my guild, and you will see these guys have the exact same build as me.

We've got a hunter (as ive told u in our PM conversations, Pornolio) whos still MM (invited another 1 recently (sadly she cant push more than 700dps), they dont like BM spec =/)

For sum reason each boss varies on his dps from 600-1k.

-We take 3hunters to TK/SSC most nights

Normally in TK bosses, our meters go sumthing like top 15 : 2 hunters (sum fights im 1st, sum im 2nd), fury warrior, hunter (others i slack and im here), the grp of locks and mages come in after us (there are 9 of them), then the druids/shadowpriests etc

outta the 6 active hunters we have 2 MM (sure they are handy on Vashj), and the rest have converted to BM

hehe yea... you can only stand it so long being at the bottom of the damage meters before you get tired of it and do the full BM route.

I was the first hunter in my guild to go BM and now all of them are BM :)

The BM tree is remarkable in the sense that one or two small tweaks can boost your overall damage with HUGE HUGE results. eg. animal handler.

Just glad those few tweaks we did with your hunter yielded great results :)
