Hello

I have a client that does international content distribution, with servers all over the world. They now want to have a VPS hosted with BGP software and distribute BGP routes to their upstream servers in Europe.

Does anybody have advise on who I can establish a BGP session with to download a local copy of the routes for redistribution to my client. I host on dedicated servers at hetzner

Um, that's different.
Surely you can talk to hetzner to get the info since they will have bgp with their providers?

However, if you just want the bgp route info you can probably get that from some local servers.

Route ServerSAIX has a route server which allows clients to view relevant routing/BGP information from a SAIX router perspective. To access the route server a telnet session needs to be opened to tpr-route-server.saix.net the login information is located in the banner
http://localloop.co.za/route-servers/

You may want to join DBNLug mailing list and ask questions there.

You need to ask your VPS hosting provider if they will allow you a BGP session to their routers. I can tell you now, few will just allow it.
