"Bandwidth caps will be doubled as Telkom slashes international bandwidth prices in anticipation of competition from Seacom"

By the way...

HD-DVD discs are available at Look and Listen in Cresta.

Interestingly - the HD-DVD movies are shelved with all the other movie DVD's - the Blu-Ray movies are shelved with the PS3 games.... - this may cause people to think you can play Blu-Ray-based movies on a PS3 only - I like that :)

Given that we will only increase our international cable capacity in 2009 at the earliest, I hope that the looming local price war that the expansion of local cable capacity and speed the Neotel, Vodacom and MTN plans will bring, will expand the local IT industry. The Google servers will hopefully add to this.

* MTN will buy Telkom’s fixed-line assets, but only after intense discussions about the extent of government’s involvement in the merged business and the impact the deal will have on consumers.

...back to the article Mr McLeod, looks like that one's fallen over already! :o

I'm just not sure wether it's a good thing or a bad thing tho.

Well I hope that prepaid bandwidth will drop at the same time. mmm. R35 a gig is so much more attractive. I don't know if this will happen though.

TI has effectively been charging R35/gig for the past few months already due to their relaxed capping policy. This might change now with the revised local access allowance:mad:
