They have no need to make a profit, SA taxpayer to the rescue soon ( again )
The only problem is they use all our taxes everywhere else on the other SOE there is no more money to plugg the holesThey have no need to make a profit, SA taxpayer to the rescue soon ( again )
I guess a couple of comrades are round 400 mil richer this Christmas.Big loss for the SABC
The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) tabled its 2018/19 annual report in Parliament which revealed a net loss of R482.4 million.
The main contributors to this net loss, the SABC said, were losses incurred on sporting events and interest incurred as a result of the liquidity constraints.
As I understand it if that Cloudy fool and the corrupt ones at another pay channel did not sink the digital and encrypted move, they could have resold the rugby WC on a pay per view basis and at the same time enabled more fans to see the Boks play ( and lose) and made quite a bit. South Africa, where greed and incompetence meet.Shouldn't sporting events coverage be profitable, with ads and such? Or is it sports few watch, so ads cannot be expensive enough to be profitable?
You're a huge optimist. They'll drink more. And moer each other.Sell it.
Close it down.
There is no need for it.
Maybe people will start reading again.
They need to sell it
There are still plenty of pension money. The only problem is they use all our taxes everywhere else on the other SOE there is no more money to plugg the holes
Employ much more people than you need. Not making a moerse profit I can understand (no SOE should be making a profit) but to make a loss? HOW? How is it possible?
