Big privacy questions over Apple's AI software

It looks real :(

Man, this is terrible ... I've never experienced so many spyware or malware warnings . And not only this, but the hardcored vulnerabilies in Apple silicone earlier this year too :(

Apple has warned users across 98 nations that they may be the subject of mercenary spyware attacks, similar to a warning about spyware attacks that reached 92 countries in April. According to its website, Apple has been issuing these notices since 2021 and has reached over 150 countries.

Didn't know you're a member of the civil society. That actually explains a lot lol.
So they get a different and less secure version of iOS? So there are three versions of each iOS?

1 with features for the latest device
1 without features for the other devices
1 less secure version with vulnerabilities

If it is, then i would take it VERY seriously.

The whole Google vs Apple and their ecosystem issue where Apple has strict app controls, app store and OS controls etc has resulted in some good things - one of them being that Apple have it easier to detect anomalous activity on their phones vs Android which needs to do that in and amongst allowing a lot more leniency from apps and app sources.

That said, Apple has taken it very seriously in particular for Activists and Journalists and the reason is because creating Malware for iOS is not easy, and thus very expensive and thus only used for high-profile targets. If, however, an attack vector of some kind has made it easier to target more Apple users then that's also bad.

But the short answer is this: If you get a LEGIT email/device notice from Apple that it may be compromised, take it seriously. Panic, and try to figure out what you've done and to whom lol. Then put it in lockdown mode which effectively bricks it, and do a re-install or destroy the phone and get a new one after changing all iStore and account passwords and MFA.
