Big Windows update could bring an end to Control Panel

how long until they force it down our collective throat's
with functionality that disappears or breaks something else with their misguided attempts to fix it.
sure you can stick with 7 or XP, but for how long until they collectively nag you to update every 10 min.

you know that's how MS rolls, remove one thing and break 100 other things.
here's a tip MS, if it aint broke, dont fix it!
Windows 10 has been pretty awesome. A bit of a rough start but developed nicely over time.

errr ... you got used to the ribbon interface?

lmao, I stopped using MS Office and moved to other solutions ... not because of that mind you, but still
I didn't. Also moved... off MS completely, apart from Teams where clients use it for project communication.

I've installed Kubuntu 20.04.2 LTS just this morning as my main and only OS

been a while since I've taken the plunge so we'll see how it goes

Can anybody help with this, under the old control panel you had the "mail" option if you had Outlook installed. How do you find this in the new settings. We use this if Outlook has a problem starting etc.

Good question. That applet is literally a control panel applet and cannot function without CP AFAIK.

It's ok don't panic, they will bring it back just like we said they'll do the start menu..

People will bitch about it and MS will bring it back, just like the start menu.

Any bets?

It seems they want to control your system instead of control panel.
