Biggest Transfer Flops

I honestly think that your only making a fool of yourself for calling a player a flop after hes been at a club for 4 months.
Give it AT LEAST a season.

I never said Keane has been amazing, hes been dissapointing but thats largely due to the fact that hes been playing out of his best position as a result of Torres' injury problems.

I think in Keane,Gerrard and Torres we have the attacking players with the ability of taking us to the title. But like nivek says its a matter of opinion. Some Pool fans think hes worthless while others think Dirk Kuyt is a great striker.
 
And before you go google "Dirk Kuyt goals 2008/09" ...Yes i know hes our leading scorer(Or at least our striker with the most goals) in the league this season:)

Yeah, Gerrard is right up there as well....

As for Keane, to me, I think he will improve as the season goes on.

Waiting for Torres to return....:D

You making yourself look silly with your replies mate. I never ever said that Keane was a complete flop and he will end his career as a flop at Pool. All i always said was, up until now he is a flop.

All the Sky journos ever said is, that him and Berba are proving to be a flop so far into the season.

You seem to have a problem with that statement. We are only judging him on the half of the season and he has flopped. Its not that hard to admit, but clearly someone is wearing Liverpool goggles.

Whatever dude. You taking it as an insult, so ill rather stop. Nobody is saying Keane is worthless and will prove to a complete flop for the rest of his career. Nobody is saying that he is a bad signing.

All we are saying is that up until now, he has flopped. If he turns it around and scores 30 goals for the rest of the season, i would be the first to say that he was a great signing, but looking at his performances so far in the season - he has not proved to be worth the money.

Take those goggles off for a second, and maybe you will understand what i am saying.

Once Nando comes back its gona be Keane,Gerrard and Torres terorising defenders. Man i cant wait!:)
 
I dont think henry flopped. I dont believe in using the flop label, because it can come back to haunt you and make you look like an idiot.

Its not that you are saying that the player is a complete flop!! Just not worth what he was made out to be CURRENTLY!!!

If you cannot understand that - then i dont know.

Genius- Keane is a great signing.up until now (MAY2009)

That is my problem genius. Why bother calling people flops 4 months into the season? What perpous does it serve?

Glad you not taking it personal. This is what forums are about, expressing opinions.

I am of the opinion, like most footy journos out there that Keane is yet to prove his worth. Surely me and 1000 of articles cannot all be wrong. I am yet to see an article on the internet saying that Keane has been a great signing SO FAR!

We have all the right to judge a player at anytime in the season. How boring would football commentary be, if one is not allowed to pass judgement cos the season is not complete yet. I think it is a fair to make an assement during any part of the season.

At the moment Keane hasnt performed as he should, and i think all the journos have a right to brand him as a flop for now. Keane isnt the first player they have done this to. It is common practice that if u have a high transfer tag and you dont perform, the media is goin to call you a flop. Keane is not special. This has happened countless times.

I am not hating on Keane - i hope he turns out to be a great signing. I am just commenting on what i see every week - he has not lived up to his massive transfer tag. There are many reasons why he is not performing, but the truth is, he hasnt lived up to it yet and if you are honest, you would agree.
