There's no such country as Palestine, and the people aren't being wiped out en masse as you seem to be suggesting they would. A part of what is now Jordan was originally supposed to have been part of a Palestinian state. Do you also accuse Jordan of 'wiping Palestine out'? What does 'getting rid of the Palestinians' mean? Will they kill all of them?

I never said Israel is innocent, or that I support them in this. I support their right to exist and defend themselves, but I'm very critical of their continued expansion of settlements in occupied territories. It's ridiculous, and hardly supportive of the only possible solution (in my view), which is the establishment of a Palestinian state.

It's rich of you to accuse me of being biased, though, considering you're always wailing about Israel and I've never once seen you condemn or criticise the terror attacks against Israeli civilians by the PLO, Hamas and Hezbollah. So what's your view on Hamas and Hezbollah's very real threats against all Jews, or are you cool with that? You're also quite silent on the vast list of atrocities committed by Arab countries against their own people, and their Arab neighbours. It dwarfes anything Israel could ever hope to achieve. So it appears you are knowingly applying double standards, because you rail against Israel without so much as a peep about the many human rights abuses being committed daily by the Arab countries of the region.

Besides, what the picture completely fails to mention is the three attacks in between the snap shots, where the surrounding nations attacked Israel with the intention of completely destroying her. ;)

Pretty sure Gaza and West bank are real, so the picture has its merits.
You may continue with your agenda, its false, I dont buy it.
3 Attacks mean nothing, under UN law it seems the occupying the land illegally.

Under the 1947 partition agreement - DRAFTED by the UN... that portion of land (excluding the green) was given to Israel.
THE VERY NEXT DAY, .... Israel was attacked. Seems like from day one, the Arab league could not tolerate her existence.
So please tell me why they should even begin to consider the existence of a Palestinian state, when they would not extend her the same courtesy?

I don't blame them for ignoring them since that time.... have the UN ever enforced any of their resolutions in favour of Israel?
Have the UN played fair and honest WITH BOTH SIDES since 1948?
In fact... what have the UN ever really accomplished in the Middle East at all? Let's be honest.
Nevertheless, if the Arab League refused to recognise the State of Israel since 1948 according to UN dictates, then why should Israel?
Let's be consistent here...

Do you realise there are different types of "UN resolution"?
The General Assembly resolutions are non-binding and generally ignored by almost all states. Most are loopy clique-clatter.
Please cite a Security Council resolution they have ignored.

Gaza is real. Post-1948 until 1967 it was Egyptian territory.
The West Bank is real. Post-1948 until 1967 it was Trans-Jordanian territory.
The reason there is no Palestinian state is that the various Arab countries annexed all the areas that they captured in 1948. Nothing to do with Israel.

Once again, Haldex, go do a little research and come back when you are more informed.

I think Haldex means the Israeli government. I still can't understand why people can't differentiate between the two. Not liking Israel doesn't mean you don't like Jews, it simply means you don't agree with the oppressive Zionist regime.

I don't know why you're defending Israel when its own people don't agree with what its doing to the people of Palestine.

Israelis, thats what this thread is about, I see you also like to zoom out of the topic and bring the different cultures and religions into this. Its about 2 states, can you keep on that or will you again zoom out to ninja oppressed woman, hummus and the taliban?

Can I just ask this ?

If in 1968 if Israel had been invaded and lost all that land... would you be saying the same thing about whoever occupied that land ?

Usually when one side starts a war and loses both the war AND some territory, no one on the planet would expect the winner to give back anything!
 
Those were not all security council ones. Also worth noting Israel has more resolutions against it than every other country combined. So 1 tiny country has more than the 203(?) other countries in the world combined? The UN would issue a resolution saying they disapprove of Netanyahu taking a dump sooner than they issue one against Zimbabwe, North Korea or Syria etc.

The apartheid myth has been disproven time and time again. Israeli citizens have full rights- non-Israeli citizens do not have the right of Israelis in Israel. No different to a Mexican needing to go through border security on his way to the US. And if Mexicans were carrying bombs and launching rockets into downtown San Diego, Tuscon or San Antonio do you think the US would not do anything in response? If people crossed the border at Tijuana, got onto a bus full of Americans and blew themselves up would America not build a more secure border and implement more stringent border security?

Remember Jordan (first called Trans-Jordan) is an Arab-"Palestinian" State. Jordan accounts for 3/4 of Palestine's original land mass. Though they may call themselves "Jordanians," they are culturally, ethnically, historically and religiously no different than the Arab-"Palestinians" on the "West Bank."
