Billing policy

Hi,

what it the MTN billing policy on data - especially when the connection fails half way into a major download?

Thanks

Hi Kaspaas

From MTNSP's view:

You get billed R 2.00 per MB or a minimum of R 0.01 per connection.
Standard. as for the Bundles the amount differs per MB but still a minimum of R 0.01 per connection. As for the failed downloads due to your privacy we don't have access to see what it was that you tried to download and wheater if failed, based on that we bill you for data used till your connections gets disconnected or terminated. Then again if you reconnect you can just continue your download.

point seconded :p

i get cut off plenty, whether using my samsung z130, nokia 9300 or my hsdpa card, when that happens we put on a brave face, reconnect and carry on downloading, il admit though its a bit of a pain if you go and visit the wifes side of the family (you know, the visit that you would rather risk brain surgery for than actually arriving there), leave something to download, then come back to discover that the connection dropped at 20%, that just makes me livid!

I do not have this problem of large downloads, but I believe that there is software available that remembers what has been downloaded and where you are, so you can carry on from where you were.

I seems to work the same way as Microsoft Updated.

Look it's something I can bring up, not sure if they'll do anything but will take it up and see what happens.............
