All the best to your endeavor. Personally, the fact that you could identify an issue means you ain't too far down the path. Try for 1 -3 beers a one of your braais. If you cannot stick to that then yeah, cold turkey.

My SexObject has been moaning I drink too much with the rugby buddies. So instead of turkey i just scaled down. Feel better, less 'headache' and weight drop.

I use the Scottish heritage thing a lot........ until two days ago I was explaining to a customer/friend of mine who has been around the town for a very long time and worked with my late father, that it was difficult to give up drinking partly because of my heritage....

"Look Jimmy....", I said ," Think of all the Scots that worked on this mine over the past forty years, doctors, artisans,managers and Geologists, all of them......... tell me the name of at least one of them that was not a big drinker.............just one......"

Jimmy blinked, paused and replied......." Just tell me the name of one of them that is still alive today.........."

These were his peers and they were all deid!

I've been on a break for well over a month. And like I said before, these drunk ****ers is irritating me to no avail. Won't leave me alone around a braai.

I enjoy Castle Free. I find Becks too bitter, and Bavaria too sweet.
