Bios replacement / Bootloader

As far as I can ascertain, PLop doesn't allow autoboot - it presents a boot menu at every start up

Can you not edit the plpbt.bin to autoboot? I know it offers various parameters/options you can set in that file.

This seems to suggest that autostart is possible:

3.3. Boot manager

Startmode

The boot manager has two modes to start. With the user interface menu and hidden.

For the hidden mode, you have to set the boot countdown and you have to select a default profile. The default profile boots after the countdown. The user cannot see that there is a boot manager in the background. If you want to go into the boot manager, then press ESC.

Apologies, I hate it when people don't report back.
Worked like a charm (eventually). Had to tweak the puppy flash disk installation but I got it working.
I've since completely disassembled the laptop and am busy mounting it on masonite board.
