Biostar 9600GT

In your Item, what did you buy? Because i know they make nice mobo, but I don't know GPU's...

All graphics cards from different brands are essentially the same. Just rebranded, different colour schemes, different fans, and different warranties.

All you need to worry about is the warranty. Biostar is fine as a brand, just because you only knew them to make mobos does not mean you should worry about their gfx cards. :p

Just find out what the warranty is.

I sell pc stuff.

I have sold a few of those & have only had to take one back to the suppliers. There are other 9600 that out perform it. it does however give you fairly decent graphics as long as you dont set graphics to max.

I see.. Well I was just wondering anyway, I mean why does shop only sell msi, GB, etc..and not biostar? (It make it like a dodgy brand off to the side..)

But anyway, glad to hear.. will be checking it out..

Thanks

When you mean max graphics, is it because the card can't take it? Or is it because it's not made for heavy gaming?

I guess then biostar is rather stable...

Thanks

the card cant cope very well on hih settings as it cant process it fast enough then. So you get lag. On medium settings it will cope with most games

I seee...

In terms of "most" games.. will that include:

left for dead 2
dirt 2
unreal 3
MW 2
DMC 4?

(on medium Graphics?)

Different shops have different suppliers. They are limited to the brands which the supplier sells.

Unreal you might be able to take a lil higher, but yes things like MW2 medium setting would be best

PS had a look they offer 3 year warranty

There is only one importer/supplier of biostar that I am AWARE(does not mean there are not others) of. I know a few other suppliers get stock from them. I deal directly with the importer/supplier

3 years? I see.. that's great!...

But you know the place where I'm going to order is online, so it's going to be troublesome.. but anyway.. thanks

there is a zaps in randburg, if the 2 places are ''related'' there is a good chance that you will get resonable service.

& no it's not Axiz that i was talking about. Another supplier also located in Midrand.

a warranty in the country will apply if you are within the country's borders.

Further away from supplier you live it could delay the time (a lil) in which a warranty can be sorted.

Well cape town.. I'm kind of in the middle..

but anyway, I'm currently looking at something else... anyway... Thanks for the help :)
